LDR Songs That Would Benefit From A Complete Rework

[Strangelove]

Released especially, but it could be unreleased.

 

My list:

 

1. Coachella WSITM (her worst song ever in my opinion). Make it a piano ballad maybe… whole song needs to be completely reimagined.

2. West Coast. Keep the drums and guitars throughout the entire song and ditch the melodramatic chorus. The song should sound similar to a generic 1980’s rock album song from the beginning, but, it doesn’t. Ditch the flushed out vocals and reverb. 
3. White Mustang. Ditch all the trap beats and keep it a classic ballad similar to Video Games.

4. Smarty. I don’t think the released version is bad but it sounds more like a parody of a song rather than a complete song. I think replacing the instrumentals with something more serious sounding like we hear in Poetry In Motion/Everything I Do/Heroin would suit the song. Maybe change some of the lyrics as well. 

5. Angels Forever, Forever Angels. I think the song falls flat on being ambient and serious somewhat. I think it would benefit from being turned into an electronic song similar to Brite Lites or Boom Like That because the chorus is seriously catchy.

LBFFR, any rework would = a stripped down piano version (like Thunder, which is still good, but not as good as the demo).

in my opinion Coachella is perfect as is. One of her best songs.

west coast doesn't need anything. we have like 8 versions of it and each version is amazingly good

 

guns n' roses needs to be reworked, maybe with new lyrics or a new second verse

 

violets for roses.... just... anything to do with this song would make it better 

 

arcadia is a highlight on blue banisters but it's so bland, boring, and slow. it needs some life to it

 

 dance till we die, the bridge. it feels out of place. i like the bridge, its the best part of that song but it shouldn't have to be stuck to that song, it should've been its own thing

cherry blossom, living legend and nectar of the gods all deserved reworks that were more blue influenced, just like thunder and probably dealer, so they could blend better on blue banisters. i rlly like how rough they are but id enjoy them more if they were finished

sad girl is so good it just sounds so maximalist and hurts my ears sometimes… especially the bridge where it goes into a higher key… it needed more acoustic breaks like that part before the outro

honestly it is such a good track  it takes an artist to appreciate artistry i suppose!!

 

to answer the thread question - i would say thunder and remaster it BACK to the og version because the 'new' intro is horrendous
