I don't know if it's true, but I saw a TikTok that Trump is going to banning books to highlight governmental problems and such. So basically, all of the really good stories we read in school. How To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, Handmaiden's Tale, etc.

At the state level there has been recently very active campaigns for banning books in schools and public libraries that contain anything “sexual”.

 

this may seem well-meaning to outsiders, but the reality is they are using that language to target books that teach about the body/developing bodies, anything queer, and really anything who’s message they can twist to fit their narrative.

I think it's mostly about banning certain books from public or school libraries

they even did this with the Bible (for good reasons, for once):
