Make me your Dream Life Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Title. What are some song releases within a specific artist's discography that has changed things for them, for you? Personally when it came to Lana, West Coast got me hooked about her as an artist, and then it peaked again when she released White Dress and Chemtrails. Those songs just elevated how amazing her artistry was expressed and shifted from those songs alone. Not about the opuses etc. that you think of when it comes to acclaim, unless that's your focus, but which songs changed the game for you? It doesn't have to be Lana, it can be any artist. RIhanna? Anti and Diamonds. Gaga? strangely enough, it was the ASIB soundtrack that really had me impressed to how new and fresh it was, but still felt genuine in it's expression. Happy Mistake's a good peak, but I'm still waiting for more of that oomph. Disease yes, but I'm still waiting for something more groundbreaking Charli's 360 was such a moment, and I'm still enjoying the song with Constant Repeat all too easily. Discuss! 2 Quote
taylorswift03 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 (edited) I would say 1989 Taylor Swift (major genre switch to full pop) folklore Taylor Swift (return to form after flopver) TTPD Taylor Swift (while not her best record it is her first break up record since Red and another return to form for her) Edit: also I agree with what you said about gaga.
