jaesana Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 NBC is officially reporting that the Republicans have now gained control of the House. They control the House, Senate, White House, and Supreme Court. I am very worried about the overturning of Obergefell. I suspect the Affordable Care Act will be gutted. A national abortion ban is on its way. 0 Quote

Veinsineon Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 60% of Americans fell for a doom cult, while also managing to expose their own disdain for marginalized groups on a literal global AND domestic scale. Fuck. This. Country. I won’t feel the least bit sorry for anyone who voted for that pig when they come back to reality and realize they chose wrong . 14 Quote

ACB has become somewhat of a swing vote, unexpectedly. The republicans also have the slimmest majority in the house, and chaos agents like Nancy Mace who are socially to the left of the GOP, will become a huge thorn in the their side. 3 Quote ⊹ (:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅[̲̅:♡:]̲̅:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅) ⊹ ? I sincerely don’t think that will ever happen, no matter who controls what. Trump himself doesn’t exactly back that, and feels it’s best left up to each state to decide. on Sept. 10, Harris warned, "Understand, if Donald Trump were to be reelected, he will sign a national abortion ban." Trump responded by saying, "It's a lie. I'm not signing a ban, and there's no reason to sign a ban, because we've gotten what everybody wanted, Democrats, Republicans and everybody else, and every legal scholar wanted it to be brought back into the states." 1 Quote
ChaoticLipster Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Trump will remove the term limit and change election rules to favour him, mark my words. He’ll gut the federal government and turn the country into an evangelical state. I only hope some of the less extreme right senators and congress members push against it. Repubs only have a slim majority in the house. 1 Quote Arches are Illusions solid at first glance

Nectar Of The Puss Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 I know this is a very stupid thing to be saying since it’s obvious but how is that even allowed? Should I there be a max amount of republicans so that it’s half and half it’s fucked that Americas government is so singularly minded 0 Quote
Slutto Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 while a national abortion ban is definitely in the realm of possibilities i personally think it's more likely they'll just leave it up to the states. people voted overwhelmingly in support of abortion rights this year even in red states. we'll have to see how states rights on these issues pan out, and i think this will also pertain to things like obergefell. the biggest obstacle to the conservative agenda right now is trump's inevitable plan to just rob the government blind and make it completely unable to enforce any kind of regulation 2 Quote

American Whore Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 on the bright side, it looks like Gaets just resigned due to becoming attorney general, so that means they lost the House. the Senate has to be 60 votes to pass due to the filibuster and democrats will be HARD stopping their bills so, not tons of stuff will pass, regardless. 1 Quote if i fuck this model and she just bleached her asshole and i get bleach on my t-shirt, imma feel like an asshole

For the first few months of 2025 at most; all of the seats vacated for Trump’s cabinet will be refilled (by Republicans) latest by February/March in special elections. The Republicans will ultimately hold a 53-47 Senate and a 220/221R — 214/215D House 1 Quote .・゜゜・ ⋆·˚ ༘ * GIVE PEACE A CHANCE ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚ ・゜゜・.
