Say Yes to Heaven Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 I always hear Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight when my sister is around (she uses TikTok A LOT), and I always find myself singing along... 1 Quote
Fart Deco Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Tumblr queen on her way to become TikTok queen! That's what I call reinvention 4 Quote
daphnedinkley Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 I wonder how long it'll be till Serial Killer starts picking up on TikTok?? I feel like that'll be a popular song for those, like, edgy e-boys who do the POV choking thing and the cosplayers who dress up as murderous psychotic anime characters etc etc. 1 Quote
anwdelrey Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Put me in a movie is also really popular rn 0 Quote
Vanilla Icy Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 i'm too lazy to search rn but put me in a movie is making its way around on there 0 Quote i love you, but you don't understand me.

Fart Deco Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Why are TikTok users obsessed with her unreleased songs? Couldn't they use officially released ones? Like, make West Coast or Off to the Races trendy, make'em justice! Btw, she should capitalize on this and put out an unreleased collection and a.k.a.! She could even have a chance to chart... 2 Quote
americangothic Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 As you all are probably aware at this point in space and time (2024) Lana's cult following on TikTok is absolutely massive. She has people from different generations being introduced to her as a singer, her aesthetic, vibe and her whole catalogue of songs. As well as older generations of fans remembering and celebrating her impact on the music business in a little bit more than a decade. Whether is by using her song for edits, thirst traps, or creating random trends, it all helps the fact that her music go viral once in a while. That's basically the reason why "Say Yes to Heaven" got officially released and now has become one of her most streamed songs! What's your take on this, as a Lana fan? Being respectful, of course. I'm aware some older fans might not like the newer legion of stans. Have you noticed this? Do you enjoy people finding out about Lana's music? Do you usually go on TikTok and see Lana songs here and there? In my personal opinion, I love this, lol. This phenomenon has contributed to Lana getting bigger and making "Tunnel" as big as it was (for her). She has always had a loyal fanbase, for sure, but after "Chemtrails" and "Blue Banisters" she came back as big and strong as she was during the "NFR!" days. Coincidentally, a lot of songs started to go viral during the Covid days. What songs have you noticed going viral on TikTok? List them and I'll add them below! "Born to Die" (2012) Spoiler • 'Diet Mountain Dew' (Demo) • 'National Anthem' (Demo) • 'Radio' • 'Summertime Sadness' "Paradise" (2012) Spoiler • 'Ride' "Ultraviolence" (2014) Spoiler • 'Ultraviolence' • 'Brooklyn Baby' • 'West Coast' • 'Sad Girl' • 'Pretty When You Cry' • 'The Other Woman' • 'Black Beauty' "Honeymoon" (2015) Spoiler • 'Music to Watch Boys To' • 'Art Deco' • 'Salvatore' • 'The Blackest Day' "Lust for Life" (2017) Spoiler • 'Cherry' • 'White Mustang' "Norman Fucking Rockwell!" (2019) Spoiler • 'Norman fucking Rockwell' • 'Mariners Apartment Complex' • 'Doin' Time' • 'Cinnamon Girl' • 'How to disappear' • 'California' • 'Happiness is a buttefly' "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" (2021) Spoiler • 'Chemtrails Over the Country Club' "Blue Banisters" (2021) Spoiler • 'Violet for Roses' • 'Dealer' • 'Thunder' (Demo) • 'Sweet Carolina' "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd" (2023) Spoiler • 'Sweet' • 'A&W' • 'Paris Texas' • 'Let the Light In' • 'Margaret' • 'Peppers' • 'Taco Truck x VB' Other Songs Spoiler • 'Say Yes to Heaven' • 'Young and Beautiful' • 'Stargirl (Interlude)' • 'Once Upon A Dream' • 'Season of the Witch' Unreleased Songs Spoiler • 'Queen of Disaster' • 'Playing Dangerous' • 'Trash Magic' • 'Put Me In A Movie' • 'Meet Me In the Pale Moonlight' • 'Back to the Basics' • 'Your Girl' • 'Pink Champagne' • 'Serial Killer' • 'Go Go Dancer' • 'Never Let Me Go' • 'Every Man Gets His Wish' • 'Driving in Car With Boys' • 'Boarding School' • 'Ridin' • 'Scarface' 5 Quote
Demonmic03 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Now... if only this could get lana to do a salvatore music video 4 Quote
Veinsineon Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 i don't understand the modern phenomena with using a clip of a song for a trend and BEATING the trend to absolute death... but if anyone was gonna get certified cult classic status pon di unreleased catalogue it should definitely be lana 12 Quote
jimmyjimmycocoapuff Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 How to disappear went viral? I thought that was the one niche released song only for us Lipsters to enjoy 5 Quote 𓄀✮⋆˙ save a horse, ride a cowboy 𓄀✮⋆˙
lemonade motorcycle heaven Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I never understood why it was lana's music in particular that really went off on tiktok, let the light in and margaret especially considering those 2 were very unpopular when ocean blvd released 4 Quote ✿I LIKE TO DANCE FOR MONEY✿
shadesofblue Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I think it’s interesting a lot of her unreleased music has become so popular on tiktok it’s kinda random lol. Before tiktok, it was more niche and only really known by fans. I don’t really care if her music becomes viral, but I hope the rise in popularity of some unreleased tracks pushes her to release a few Some of the released tracks that got popular are super random too, I wouldn’t have expected some of them to go viral over others 4 Quote ♡︎
Super Movie Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I honestly believe that TikTok changed Lana's career. She's always been popular, she's had several #1 albums, but I think that the way TikTok has pushed her music has made her a staple artist in a sense. I feel like she used to get categorized more with Marina, Lorde, and other female indie artists. Now, I often see her grouped in with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, all the big pop stars. It's actually kind of fascinating to see how much power sped-up 15 second clips of songs can have 8 Quote
Embach Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I hate TikTok so much but I'm glad that it gave some popularity to her and some of her underrated songs and perhaps made the general public understand what an artistic genius she actually is and what a big impact she has on the music industry. The most annoying thing about this are those new fans who spread misinformation though. 9 Quote
coneyislandbaby1949 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 i mean to be honest some of these new fans are people who have made fun of me for likeing her in the past. i dont like how people trend homie hop all the time. lana deserves the succsess but its hard for me to do things i used to do (buy exclusive things tickets) without waiting hours in advance, even though lana never really announces things like these. it also means shes succumb to scalpers because they know people will buy it cause shes extreamly popular now. 3 Quote the voice of nirvana says come as you are~ and i will night time is almost ours

coneyislandbaby1949 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Just now, Honeytrails said: most times it makes me want to listen to the song less (if i didn’t already know the song) and at times it starts feeling background sound and when I listen to the trending part in a song it sticks out like a sore thumb i agree. it makes me hate [that] part of the song. and non lana songs thta go extreamly viral i avoid overall (alibi, die for you, hozier too sweet) 3 Quote the voice of nirvana says come as you are~ and i will night time is almost ours
