Our annual Lipsters Awards is our website's own awards ceremony where we all come together to honour all the members, music, moments, memories, and messiness that make our community what it is. I am pleased to announce that the official awards ceremony will take place the evening of Saturday, January 18th at 5pm ET with our red carpet beginning an hour beforehand - so clear your calendars for the festivities! Below, you will see a list of this year's 39 categories (5 new categories are being introduced this year!) and a brief description of what each award entails. I look forward to hosting this year's annual ceremony with you all again! The annual Lipsters Awards are always my among my favourite days we have on here, and I anticipate them each year. I love how we can all come together to have our own special day all about us. It's the perfect way to begin our year as we pay tribute to the last. Wishing everyone lots of love and luck! x Even without our notorious “Time Online” tracker that is now just a burning memory, at this point I’m sure we all can recognise who our most repeat visitors are! The Most Active award will be bestowed upon the member that frequently blesses us with their posts. To oppose the previous award, our new Worst Profile Picture award honours the profile images that give us all a little jumpscare when we see them. Perhaps it's time for a change. A member's signature gives a deeper insight into who they are. Whether it be their favourite quote or lyric, carefully selected imagery to match their profile picture, a graphic they designed themselves, or just something they feel truly defines them, the Best Signature award will honour whose signature you admire seeing after every post they make. Whether it be a catastrophe of multiple gifs that slows down page loading, a certain artist you despise that you can't stand seeing after every post a member makes, or any other general eyesore, the new Worst Signature award will give that member a hint that perhaps it is time to switch their signature, or just get rid of it completely. Can’t be completely selfish here xx Elle - for your consideration… Best Profile Picture This was a new award we introduced last year that I won by having my PFP set to a selfie of Lana and me together at the mall last year, and I’m back to fight for round 2 with my new profile picture I set back in May after partying with Lana at V12! & hey, if you don't like me in it, at least cast a vote for Lana's sake as she mogged me anyway xx My endorsement: Given that @lmdr has been teasing some stunning outtakes through his PFPs recently, I think it’s only proper that he is also nominated in this category. Best Signature This award actually reminded me to update my signature a couple of days ago, as it contains a photograph I have taken at every Lana show I’ve attended over the past decade! I think it’s pretty cute x My endorsement: Honestly, I can’t recommend anyone else for this category since I have signatures turned off I’m sorry, I just can’t deal with the multiple-gif ones some of you have! Nicest Member I always try to sprinkle sunshine whenever I go, and even when I have to lay down the law with a mod queue or warning point, I always do it with lots of love My endorsement: @Embach! Truly one of the sweetest members we have ever had on the site, and her posts and interactions with others always make me smile. Veteran Member I have truly put my life on the line for this country website, dueling through many battles over being a member for the past 11 1/2 years & owner for the past 8! It’s hard to believe I’m nearing a decade of ownership! My endorsement: @Veinsineon will be passing the decade-versary mark on LanaBoards next year, and is as active as ever which I love to see. @Dark Angel is also now finally eligible for this award, and is another staple LanaBoards member who has continued to be active through the years! Biggest Stan If there is one award that I truly care about winning more than anything else, it’s this one. Not only am I the gracious owner of the largest Lana Del Rey fan site who has now attended 19 shows with my big 20 already planned for next year in Ireland, but I have arguably one of the largest Lana collections that includes nearly 200 magazines, over 100 clothing items as seen on LDR, and hundreds of other merch items! Here's some photos and detailed list of my collection that I took in 2020, and if you can even imagine it, it's even larger now.. maybe winning this award will give you all a little 5-year update after the release of The Right Person Will Stay, as I’m sure my collection will be growing even more following its merch and media drop x My endorsement: @admin Sorry, but I must win this award!! Peace Keeper Again, I know it’s not fun when I have to lay down the law sometimes, but without my efforts this place would honestly be a hell hole, you have to admit it. In case you need a refresher of my beautiful face, here's my best shot from this year: Spoiler My endorsement: @Mer and I have been facing off in this category for the past few years, and I’m ready to face off again… and honestly, he’s someone I couldn’t even complain about losing to because his face card NEVERRR declines. Iconic Moment of the Year Me partying with Lana at a club in Atlanta on a random Wednesday night. I’m sorry, but this is the most iconic thing to have ever happen ever, at least in my book. From sobbing on my sofa at 9pm to then dancing with my favourite artist to her own songs just two hours later?? This still feels like an unrealistic dream like howwwwww did this happen… it needs to be honoured xx My endorsement: Lana bringing out Billie Eilish as a special guest during her Coachella W1 performance. This was another surreal moment - watching both artists sing each other’s debut song that led them to be where they are today brought tears to my eyes. I’ve personally been a fan of both since the start of their careers, and if you told me even 5 years ago that this was going to happen, I wouldn’t have believed you. Also, Lana & Charli finally meeting and being photographed together at the Variety Hitmakers awards - truly a moment in LanaBoards history.
