Mer Posted April 18 Posted April 18 My recency bias makes me say Blue Bird, but in 3 months time, that may change 4 Quote ⊹ (:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅[̲̅:♡:]̲̅:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅) ⊹ ? I took the miracle move on drug ? ⚕️ The effects were temporary ⚕️ ⊹ (:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅[̲̅:♡:]̲̅:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅) ⊹
Honeymoonwitch Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Bluebird feels like a two minute interlude. Something short and sweet. While Henry feels like a full thought with a hook and good production. 1 Quote

Enco Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Team Henry. It just sounds so anthem like and pretty. Bluebird is not something I would listen to. 1 Quote
love deluxe Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Bluebird but only because I think lyrically it may be stronger. (This could totally just be my recency bias). Also, the harmonica and guitar are just gorgeous. 5 Quote
domandapiano Posted April 18 Posted April 18 It’s gotta be Bluebird, at least right now. It made me cry. 3 Quote
Sunbather Moonchaser Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I'm on Bluebird's side. I can already feel that I will be crying to it a lot. I'm not even overexaggerating when I say that after a few more listens it'll probably end up in my top 5 amongt Black bathing suit, God knows I tried, Bel Air and Yosemite 2 Quote

triangles19 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I definitely need to quit my job asap so I'll make more use of Bluebird than Henry in the future. I really like them both honestly, but Bluebird has a little something so comforting. 2 Quote
Liz Taylor Blues Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I balled my eyes out to Bluebird……its just so beautiful and hraling 4 Quote
Embach Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Don't kill me but I think that Henry Come On is lyrically better than Bluebird. Both are lyrically good (and sad!) but I think that Henry is better written. 5 Quote
honeyslow Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Bluebird hands down. It just keeps getting better with every listen, the clarity of her voice, the melody, the EMOTION... just shoot for the sun till I can finally run find a way to flyyy 4 Quote

I agree with you, lyrically Bluebird seems way more simple, not sure it really is, but Henry is so poetic it's crazy 1 Quote
Poor Stacy Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Genuinely love both, but Bluebird hit me even harder than Henry and I was not expecting that. 2 Quote

Beautiful Loser Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I picked bluebird, I think the strings sound better than in Henry, and it feels slightly less country to me. I’ve never really liked the genre that much, so hearing “cowgirl” is just… eeehhhh I don’t know. :B I’ve never pictured Lana as a cowgirl, she’s more urban to me. I also like the meaning of the song. Freedom, a longing for an escape, leaving things in the past and start fresh again. There’s a pain in there I think is better written than in Henry, something you might have to read in between the lines to catch, maybe. 1 Quote ♥ Please spell out acronyms, I can’t figure them out anymore. :’ )
cherrytropico Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Bluebird is cute but Henry Come On is a BOP AND IT’S NOT BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I TURNED OUT SO DANGEROUS- 1 Quote we’re gonna party like it’s 1949 ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ :¨ ·.· ¨: ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ `· . ꔫ
Rorman Nockwell Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 60 voters and it's almost even I voted for Bluebird. Henry just doesn't do it for me - idk if it's because we got the snippet soooooo long ago that I was just over it by the time she gave it to us, but there you go Bluebird has better production, better vocal clarity, better subject matter (imo) I also like the cover better because she looks happier Team (BLUE)BIRD WORLD 5 Quote ur legit gonna look the same stop buying oil of Olay face cream
