Because remixes help to bump songs on charts. People might buy the original song + a remix so it counts 2 sales instead of 1. Many of these remixes are made by other label artists, so the cost is minimum.

It always shoulda been the third singe (instead of Freak). All these years later, and it's one of the most popular songs off Honeymoon. 

 

The remix has a good Weeknd hook, but it kind of starts boring, and fizzles out in the end. The structure is odd.

 

I wonder if this is also part of the Ethel diss project.
