LDR AKALG - Oh Say Can You See & Yayo
OSCYS because her expression is very melancholic and I associate the mood in her face with that song
Yayo because I feel its a very yellow song tonally, and I also think the outfit and hairstyle goes well with the lyrics

BTD - Off to the Races & This Is What Makes Us Girls
OTTR because her glamorous hairstyle and the environment pairs well with the lyrics
TIWMUG because its a melancholic and youth-reminiscent song and i feel in the album cover art her expression is just that, melancholic, observant, nostalgic, underneath youthful glamour and soft-toned makeup

Paradise - Cola & Gods & Monsters
Cola because the album cover is very sensual and heated, which matches the lust and yearning of the song
G&M because her expression has a sternness or knowledge to it, and because i imagine G&M to be very muted shades of green, blue, & gold which matches with the cover

Ultraviolence - Pretty When You Cry & Black Beauty
PWYC because she's unhappy yet almost reluctant to leave and her expression in the cover is melancholy/disappointment/yearning/fear(?), and i think paired with the uv cover, it really paints a picture of abuse/neglect/unsatisfaction/sadness
Black Beauty because the melancholic expression on her face, the fuzzy black & white colouring, and the environment all fit the song imo

Honeymoon - Honeymoon & Burnt Norton
Honeymoon cuz the cover depicts the arrival or journey to somewhere and the song Honeymoon very much feels like an arrival and sets the tone of the record, its the perfect opener
BN cuz the covers very light, pastel, her expression is introspective and curious, i can imagine her reading a book of poems as she waits

and i gave up doing the rest :bebe:

“Something heavenly lead me to you

Look at the sky, it’s the colour of love.”

Sirens: I know it's a fake one but nothing describes it better than A Star For Nick and maybe also Blizzard.

Kill Kill EP: Kill Kill is this photo literally, it's the perfect embodiment.

AKA: Really hard to choose honestly, because I think that other photoshoots describe the tracks better but if I had to choose anything then it's maybe Gramma and Smarty because they feel the most domestic, like the album cover is - although most of the songs there feels more outside-ish.

BTD: Radio - out of any albums and any songs, Radio feels the one to describe the feel of the album cover 100%, like perfectly - and Without You.

Paradise: Cola and Gods & Monsters and also American.

UV: Cruel World and Old Money (every time I see the bracelet on her hand, I think about Old Money, because it feels the most glamorous aspect from a raw grungy album art) - these songs feel to me the most black and white as well sonically.

HM: Can't really choose since the image itself is burned in my mind because I have listened to the album a lot but I feel like the single cover arts were super perfect for the singles because they describe their vibes very  perfectly (the breeze of High By The Beach, lounginess of MTWBT, lonely stare in Terrence Loves You and the elusive adventurous escapism of Honeymoon). Burnt Norton definitely describes the album cover the most perfectly but for the other song I'd choose maybe Religion or Salvatore because they're the most daytime-y for me (maybe Religion is a bit more afternoon-ish for me with God Knows I Tried).

LFL: Love and Get Free

NFR!: Mariners Apartment Complex and The Greatest.

COTCC: COTCC and Wild At Heart.

BB: Blue Banisters and If You Lie Down With Me.

OB: The Grants ("Do you think about heaven?" and on the album cover she's kinda looking up) and Let The Light In because it's so cosy and home-y. Also Candy Necklace, Sweet, Fingertips and Kintsugi describe it well as well.

Lana Del Ray (álbum) – Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre  Yayo because of the leather jacket like she's ready to hop on that motorcycle, Raise me up because she's ready to hop on the pick up truck :lel:

Born to Die – Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre Born to Die because her facial expression is absolutely dooooone in the pic, and Radio because it's iconic

Paradise (EP) – Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre Cola because it's sexy and tropical and she looks hot af like she's about to steal someone's man, and American bc of her tan

Ultraviolence – Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre Brooklyn Baby, her expression is sad but also kind of innocent & West Coast because of the iconic white shirt with the white bra :illumilana2:

Honeymoon [Explicit] | Amazon.com.br Obviously Honeymoon because she's ready to cruise to the bluuuuues and Salvatore because thematically I think that's the sister song to Honeymoon but instead of LA it's Portofino

Lust for Life (álbum de Lana Del Rey) – Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre Love because it's the same look as the MV and she's so smiley and cute, also God Bless America because of the folk /hippie influence (and bc she's a beautiful woman)

Lana Del Rey · Norman Fucking Rockwell (CD) (2019)  The Greatest because of how she's reaching for us almost like she's saying "yeah LA's in flames, escape with me on this boat" and Fuck it I love you because of the neon colors

Chemtrails Over The Country Club [LP]: Amazon.com.br: CD e Vinil  Dance Till We Die because she's with all her girlfriends and it brings that feeling of chosen family and belonging, and Chemtrails bc I'm pretty sure this is a BTS photo from the music video (God this cover is so :toofunny:)

Blue Banisters (CD): Amazon.com.br: CD e Vinil I LOVE THIS PIC so much, anyways, I'd say Nectar of the Gods and Sweet Carolina because I can just picture her sitting on the floor barefoot and singing those like a lullaby

Did_You_Know_That_There%27s_a_Tunnel_Under_Ocean_Blvd.jpg A&W and Let the Light In, A&W because it's introspective but also kinda horny and Let the Light In because that's how she looks @ her man when he says he's going to go and she reveals nothing under her overcoat :w8ing:

AKALG: Yayo for the same reason someone above stated (her wearing a motorcycle jacket or at least reminiscent of one)

BTD: Carmen, because on the cover you can see her wearing a white blouse but underneath you can also see her wearing a red bra kinda like the one in paradise and that also corresponds to the story in carmen "Street walk at night and a star by day"

Paradise: Bel Air, just because she looks like she's in some fancy mansion that would have gargoyles near the gates

Ultraviolenece: Shades of cool, she looks sad waiting for her lover to come with her to some place to cheer him up but she knows that she'll never get through to him

Honeymoon: Salvatore

Lust for life: Summer Bummer, because she has daisies in her hair

NFR: The Greatest because you can see the fires of LA in the background

Chemtrails Over The Country Club:

COTCC: She has the same fit in the mv also it looks like they're all in a country club (i don't really know what that is lmao)

Blue Banisters: blue banisters because her banisters were never painted blue, also violets for roses because she's wearing a summer dress

Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd: A&W

Can't really do all but The Greatest is NFR cover to a tee, and Blue Jeans and This is What Makes Us Girls fit so well with BTD cover.

Also, When the World Was at War: LFL, and Wild at Heart: Chemtrails

"Stove... Coming soon." - Lana Del Rey :tiffany:

It's really interesting to ponder on this, thanks to the topic's author.

LG: the first thing that stands out is the uncertainty and melancholy. I can definitely name "oh say can you see", but it gets harder from there. without context, it’s not easy to catch the hidden moods. let's go with "kill kill" with notes of fatigue and tragicness.

BTD: here, either something youthful and inexperienced or something grand fits. the first transmits more, so I will call "off to the races" and "this is what makes us girls", but I will also point out "national anthem".

Paradise: passion with a touch of exoticism. the obvious favorite is "burning desire", and then it depends on what to draw from. hair and overall tone remind me of "american", while the facial expression and palm trees bring to mind "gods & monsters".

UV: the most straightforward and clear expression of this aesthetic is 'sad girl', but the capitalized words in 'black beauty' literally represent this image in audio format.

HM: honestly, this hat and the overall mood of the cover don't quite match the languorous sexuality of many songs from here. suitable ones include 'terrence loves you' and 'salvatore', the latter also fits well.

LFL: I don't want to choose 'love' because it is too linked to this visual because of the music video. on the cover, we see the same frivolity, although maturity and experience are already starting to displace it. on one hand, it's about infatuation; on the other hand, it's a genuine desire to support and protect people. thus: 'groupie love' and 'god bless america...'

NFR: there is determination, but for me, vulnerability comes first. 'cinnamon girl' reflects the most vulnerable side, while 'happiness is a butterfly' is about the same thing, but with a more resilient and vivid hope.

COTCC: it's difficult because not many songs really create a sense of togetherness. I have nothing to say, I'll just list: 'breaking up slowly', the title track, and to a lesser extent 'not all who wander are lost'.

BB: I'm used to the feeling that this cover has the mood of the evening. there should also be a certain old-fashionedness to it. my choice: "if you lie down with me" (for some reason its ending associates with dogs), "violets for roses".

OB: intimacy on the verge of vulgarity. of course, I would name "a&w" as the most complete expression of the idea. I’m not sure about "fingertips" because this cover doesn’t create such an impression of pure candor, meaning that cynicism should also be present, if someone understands what I mean. I would like to name "margaret", it's not related to the previous thoughts, it just fits the image. there is intimacy in this song and that is enough.

AKA: very cunty tropical surf noir. Kill Kill and Yayo

BTD: bombastic and grand album, american af. Title track and National Anthem

Paradise: she genuinely looks like she's in paradise, paradise lost. American and Gods & Monsters

UV: our psychedelic badass depressive bitch. Cruel World and Sad Girl

Honeymoon: orchestral and jazzy, feels like a dream. Terrence Loves You and Art Deco

LFL: 60s cosmical retro-futuristic vibes, very comforting. Love and 13 Beaches

NFR!: another bombastic record aka her best album cover. The greatest and Mariners Apartment Complex

COTCC: White Dress and Title track

BB: this cover always felt very comforting, maternal & introspective for me and i love it.  Title track and Sweet Carolina

DYKTTATUOB: also feels psychedelic, but with a slightly softer and more depressive edge: A&W and Candy Necklace
