williamprb Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Thread made 14 years too late... The mother of pop music and ex-girls aloud member is finally getting her moment on stan twitter and it is time for her to finally get her flowers Released in 2011, her debut single Beat Of My Drum sadly underperformed compared to her other bandmate Cheryl's numerous number ones by peaking at 27 on the charts. The other two singles (Yo-yo and Lucky Day) were not successful either and this led the album to become largely unnoticed by non diehard Girls Aloud fans but praised by critics for its more daring and experimental contents compared to her other bandmates solo efforts. Interestingly enough, Beat Of My Drum originally contained a sample of Pon De Floor by Major Lazer and was going to be released with the sample running throughout the song before being told that Beyonce had just used the sample instead on Run The World (Girls) which meant the song had to be re-produced to not contain the sample (a demo containing this sample is in the masterpost below as Baby In The Corner Monitor Mix) But in the end, Beat Of My Drum ended up so good it was even ripped off by Madonna! Stream Cinderella's Eyes NOW (my personal faves are BOMD, gladiator, take a bite, porcelain heart and sticks+stones) https://music.apple.com/gb/album/cinderellas-eyes/1445847239 we need streams people... NR2 has been in development hell since around 2013 and we need it to happen!! her unreleased is also incredibly good, in 2021 her debut album even got a rerelease on CD and vinyl with 7 never before heard AMAZING outtakes (sadly these aren't on streaming but you should still be able to buy them from the plastic pop records website to support her even further!!!!) and for you pcmusic freaks she has a whole THREE songs with SOPHIE, easyfun and a.g so you better tune in I'm attaching my (lanaboards safe) masterpost here which sadly doesnt include any cd rips from behind Cinderella's eyes to comply with site rules (my personal faves are nothing, dance the rain, dating, everything to me, potion and paper boy) https://mega.nz/folder/yIFnVCYZ#uxHUpfSifRUBArsedPvU_w STREAM NOW 4 Quote young, wild, free but most of all fucking crazy
