Veinsineon Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I’ve heard the term “Extinction Burst” attributed to the trump administration’s actions of recent. While being able to put a word to the depravity we’ve witnessed from this admin is helpful, when Americans start dying as a result of aggression being matched eventually…. Should we even be shocked and upset? 4 Quote

People are already taking to the street to celebrate in their neighbourhoods, but I think that's unsafe and premature--the current Iranian govt. has no problem opening fire at it's own citizens, and thought the missiles so far have been very targeted towards govt. and military buildings, there's always a risk of a missfire. They still have internet for now, but I am wondering if the regime has the time/ability to cut it off again. 9 Quote I would trade the Cartier for someone to trust (just kidding)

While some might want regime change (or have been asking for it for a long time) I really don't like the idea of the cities being destroyed or people/civilians being caught as collateral as a result. if Israel wants that fire, they should deal with it, but I think the US should stay out of it. It's not our fight when stakes are high involving nuclear weapons... ugh. Plus there's the architectural history in that country that I don't like the idea of being destroyed and fucked up. I hope your friends stay safe (and the history of the country/region isn't too damaged or destroyed...) 6 Quote to die by ur side, well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

Also, didn't Trump promise that he will end all wars? What are Trump voters saying now? 13 Quote "Stove... Coming soon." - Lana Del Rey

That's crazy, and sounds very worrying. I live in the Gulf and make my livelihood here. There are a lot of real estate investments around here that could be fucked if this becomes a full-blown war. Imagine you own an apartment and expect a certain ROI to pay off your mortgage and then suddenly: you have no tenants. 3 Quote "Stove... Coming soon." - Lana Del Rey
Beautiful Loser Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I just worry what will happen after if this is what will make the regime fall. I mean, yes, it has to fall, they’ve been in power for far too long and what they’ve done is sickening. I’m just not aware of anyone who is ready or capable of making different groups (ethnicities, pro-regime, pro-Shah etc) come together or form a new, stable government without corruption. I doubt the late Shah’s son will take that responsibility, even if he says he’s ready to step up. Who wants a monarchy? Unless it’s similar to what we have here in Sweden, with the royal family being more of a representation of Sweden than having any actual power. He doesn’t even have the experience to lead or rule, right? Will the US step in and take control because they want oil? It’s scary to hear what’s going on from the outside but I’m glad that this gives hope to the people. I’ve also heard that people have hung up dolls looking like mice in the trees to make fun of Khamenei, which I think is hilarious. I just hope they’ve done it safely and not gotten hurt. 2 Quote ♥ Please spell out song acronyms, I can’t figure them out anymore. :’ )
