Bye Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I've seen the term "gender apartheid" being used to describe the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan and I think that is so tragically accurate. One half of the population is essentially being punished for being born a sex they didn't chose. I had the opportunity to speak with a women's rights activist back in 2021 who worked with Afghanistan but had to leave and operated remotely and I could tell she felt so pessimistic about the situation and it broke my heart Β 5 Quote
