Waywent Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Oh Land is a Danish pop artist. Her music is in the same vein as Bjork, I suppose? I heard "Sun of a Gun" on the radio last year and I was hooked. She's like, the queen of backing vocals, kinda like Lana's acapellas. Her album "Oh Land" came out in 2011. Any other Narwhals here? (Her fans are called Narwhals, btw. Not sure why.) 5 Quote
Your Girl Lana Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Her music is cool:) (Sun of a Gun kinda sounds like Mowgli's Road:P ) 0 Quote

iseeyouupsidedown Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I saw her post that on facebook recently and before that I didn't know she had any new music out... I like it though. I'm just kind of confused and I feel like I missed a lot. Is this the first new song she's released or are there others? It said on the Rolling Stone website something about this being the second new song but idk what the first one is? I can't find any other new songs or videos on her youtube page. But anyway I was a really big fan of her first album and she played a free concert in Boston 2 years ago but I didn't go because I didn't know who she was when she came and then I got really into her like a month later 0 Quote

RetroSound Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 They may have been talking about "My Boxer"? Oh, I completely forgot that song. I really don't like it 0 Quote
Waywent Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 We don't have to talk about "My Boxer" anymore... BECAUSE "PYROMANIAC" PREMIERED ON DANISH RADIO TODAY! It's got a really chill feel to it, I love it. 0 Quote

GangstaBoy Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 So sad nobody comments on Oh Land, Cherry On Top is awesome 0 Quote
iseeyouupsidedown Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I liked her first album but got sick of it eventually and never listened to her new stuff outside of Reniseance Girl. I really think I should though! Oh and by her first album I mean the self titles one. I didn't know she had one before that. 0 Quote
Trinity Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I've only listened to Wish Bone but it's got a couple really good songs on there. Pyromaniac could be such a hit and the video is stunning, there's something so nostalgic about it. The lyricism on Renaissance Girl is amazing. Cherry on Top, Love a Man Dead, and My Boxer are decent bops. Some of the more downbeat songs I just can't bear though (see Next Summer, Sleepytown, etc...) I've been meaning to give her older stuff a listen but haven't yet. Anyone have zips to Fauna or Oh Land? 0 Quote
