Greenwich Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 All dressed up with nowhere to go That's the story of the girl you know, me I'm all smiles but inside I frown, 'cause I seen you walking around with Betty Lou Didn't I tell you what I heard about her? It don't matter to you, it don't matter to you, it don't matter to you What them other girls do, you'll date anyone, you'll date anyone How they more fun than me, baby? I'm smiling, the New Jersey Queen, and You're the best thing I ever seen, so won't you Pull up your white Corvette, Jimmy? Let me get a better look at your face I know it ain't noon, but I know what you like So come on inside and I'll fix you ice cream A little banana split for you, Jimmy You're so fine, you're like silk la roux I guess that's why you keep slipping through my fingers You're the states #1 and everybody knows it You smile all the time, 'cause how can you not show it? When even you know that you're so to die for, to die for What do I need to get high for? When I have you? When I have you? It don't matter to you, it don't matter to you, it don't matter to you What those other girls done, I'm gonna prove to you, I'm gonna prove to you You'll never find nobody more fun More fun 4 Quote

Very YBIATR vibes with some possible connections to YGLM, UATW along with the line seen in Carmen's bridge. So cute, I love it! 1 Quote
lmdr Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 This song is very cute. You can feel a little bit of pain in her voice. I love it 0 Quote
Greenwich Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 I think she just babbles at the end, sort of a "dadada" so i'm leaving it blank 1 Quote
Platinum Greenwich Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 sheesh if she and Jim never were an actual thing and she was this down about it brb in tears forever because this is hitting too close to home for comfort 0 Quote "Wild child, starry-eyed junkie, Coney Island Madonna, sick chanteuse and philosopher femme fatale... evilentity Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Could it be "silk la roux" or something like that? 4 Quote Stalking you has sorta become like my occupation.
keanefar Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Could it be "silk la roux" or something like that? I think that might actually be right. It sounds right. 1 Quote
Greenwich Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Could it be "silk la roux" or something like that? I was thinking silk la rue, silk larue, silk laroo, I honestly don't know. I'm just certain it's not maroon... 0 Quote
Honey Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Sounds rather like "What do I need to get high for?" a lil difference from the UATW line 2 Quote
ZeroZero Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Who's Betty Lou? I thought she said Betty Boop. 1 Quote
Steeqhen Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Do you think this song was from the BTD sessions or more connected to AKA? 2 Quote

I'm in the middle of organizing my unreleased songs. I have an "outtakes" album for BTD of about 30 tracks, and two albums with original album name ideas like The Revenge of Lana Del Rey and The World is Ours (about 60 tracks between the two). I'm just trying to find any random songs from this time period that I can slip in 3 Quote
