Mileena Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 You know how a lot of her songs have got different song titles? I wish that she kept the original in some cases. Like I wish that she kept 'Florida Dark' or 'The Ocean' instead of Kill Kill. Flordia Dark just sounds so awesome. 0 Quote
Your Girl Lana Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Like the Puppy Love song, I prefer Marylin Monroe.... 0 Quote
allseeing Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 'Diet Mountain Dew' once called 'Seven Eleven'. But I prefer the 'Diet Mountain Dew' 0 Quote
James19709 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Like the Puppy Love song, I prefer Marylin Monroe.... Marilyn Monroe's the real title anyway luckily. 0 Quote
Mileena Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 'Diet Mountain Dew' once called 'Seven Eleven'. But I prefer the 'Diet Mountain Dew' I didn't even know that. I've seen it as Diet Mtn Dew before, and I prefer it with 'mtn' because it's less to type. 0 Quote
Your Girl Lana Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I always get confused with the "Lolita/Hey Lolita Hey" and "I sing the Body Electric/Body Electric" names... 0 Quote

Mileena Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 gurl u cray, those titles are horrible. Kill Kill reminds me of a fish, I don't know why. 0 Quote
Mariann Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Florida Dark sounds pretty good but I don't really like the title Ocean. 0 Quote
National Anthem Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Do you guys like She's Not Me or Ride or Die or She's Not Me (Ride or Die)? 0 Quote
Hello Heaven Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I know, I've always much prefered 'Florida Dark'. It's beautiful, I don't know why she changed it. 'The Ocean''s nicer aswell. 0 Quote
Hello Heaven Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I also prefer 'Ride Or Die Bitch' to 'She's Not Me' but I don't mind that much. 0 Quote
RileyThomas Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 What?!? Kill Kill is so much better, it makes way much more sense. Same with Trash Magic/Miss America. 0 Quote
Mileena Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 I like Ride Or Die Bitch, but I like titles with cuss words haha. And I love Florida Dark, the song has a slightly tropical feel to it with the plucky guitar. It reminds me of lazy days in Florida, so I love the title. Oh and I like dark things too so Florida Dark is perfect. 0 Quote
Sitar Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Puppy Love is a way better title than Marilyn Monroe 1 Quote
lflflflflflflflflflf Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Marylin Monroe is a better title! I prefer Body Electric to ISTBE because there's less to type (I hate the song though so it doesn't really matter). Wasn't Lolita called Lolyta, then Hey Lolita Hey then Lolita? 0 Quote
PrettyBaby Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I persist in calling it "Puppy Love (Marilyn Monroe)." Extra typing concerns be damned! I prefer Body Electric to ISTBE because there's less to type (I hate the song though so it doesn't really matter). Moy, you've inspired me to admit... http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/215-unpopular-lana-opinions/ (post #6) Wasn't Lolita called Lolyta, then Hey Lolita Hey then Lolita? It's my understanding that "Lolyta" was never an official title, but a fan error introduced early on that stuck around. (Kind of like "I'm Indebited to You" instead of "Indebted") But I could be wrong. 0 Quote
Sitar Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 "Puppy Love" is the way more engaging title, and if I had no idea that was ever a consideration and knew it as the basic "Marilyn Monroe", I'd think, "Well, why the fuck does she say 'puppy love' so much?" Similiar to "China Doll" shitting on "Without You". 2 Quote
Monicker Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 It's my understanding that "Lolyta" was never an official title, but a fan error introduced early on that stuck around. This is correct. And yeah, extra typing concerns be damned. Also, people who do not like or even actively hate I Sing The Body Electric need to check into an asylum. 2 Quote "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." -Wittgenstein
teethclick Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Wasn't Lolita called Lolyta, then Hey Lolita Hey then Lolita? "Lolyta" came from the same torrent that said that "Kinda Outta Luck" was on LDRakaLG. 0 Quote last.fm
