Tyler Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The Huffington Post created this interesting graph that compares the vocal ranges of the "world's greatest and most popular singers" of all time, and the results are interesting. I am very happy that Lana is included on the graph! I think this is definitely a testament to her rising popularity, and presence in the music industry. Her vocal range also has a pretty good standing compared to others (bye bye Adele, Katy, and Taylor). http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/20/top-artists-vocal-range_n_5357698.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000063 The Vocal Ranges of the Greatest Singers. From Mariah Carey's ear-piercing whistle to Barry White's deep bassy growl, compare the vocal ranges of today's top artists with the greatest of all time. (via ConcertHotels.com). EDIT: I tried to embed it, but I'm not really good with that. Use the link to the page to see the article + interactive version. 3 Quote

NamiraWilhelm Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Was going to totally disagree but I guess in terms of 'recorded' range it's apt. 0 Quote

Trash Magic Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So is the left side the higher notes? I have no idea about range but surely Lana should be higher... Did they only listen to Paradise? 0 Quote "It's 2011, and we should all be aware of exactly how fast technology is developing" - Lana Del Rey

Youandme Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 So is the left side the higher notes? I have no idea about range but surely Lana should be higher... Did they only listen to Paradise? Those are approx ranges, 98% of singers in that list can go higher or lower than that, and Lana's range there is very accurate. Her highest and lowest notes are on Paradise. 0 Quote
Pluto Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 This list is a mess, Bjork can go way higher than Miley Cyrus. And what about Kate Bush? She used to be able to go pretty high. 0 Quote karma drawn up in lines / baby it's a freebie you sure look deprived
