Benvolio Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 How would you change the tracklisting of Lana's albums? What songs would you replace? How would you do the sequencing of the tracks? Born to Die: I never really liked the tracklising of this album. It doesn't flow very well in my opinion and the fact that Without You didn't make it onto the standard edition is blasphemous! Born to Die Blue Jeans Diet Mountain Dew Off to the Races Carmen Million Dollar Man National Anthem Radio Summertime Sadness Dark Paradise Without You Video Games This Is What Makes Us Girl (Bonus Track) Lolita (Bonus Track) Lucky Ones (Bonus Track) Paradise: I know Paradise is "just" an EP but I think it could've worked so well as a companion album to BTD because it's just so good imo. Ride American JFK Cola Body Electric Hollywood Burning Desire (The heavy breathing leading into the breathy intro of Yayo is just perfect. It's like she's trying to calm down, smoking a cigarette after some wild sex.) Yayo Gods & Monsters Because of You (reworked, obviously) Blue Velvet Bel Air Starry Eyed (Bonus Track) I would have included Young and Beautiful but it just works so much better as a soundtrack song. Ultraviolence: Cruel World Ultraviolence Shades of Cool West Coast Brooklyn Baby Florida Kilos Money Power Glory Fucked My Way Up to the Top Pretty When You Cry (He mentally abuses her) Black Beauty (She leaves him) Old Money (But if you change your mind I'll come running back to you! ) The Other Woman (She'll wait for him to visit her while he's living his happy live with his new wife. ) Sad Girl (Bonus Track) Is This Happiness (Bonus Track) Flipside (Bonus Track) (The perfect album ender, especially following Is This Happiness and Sad Girl. It's like an alternate ending to the story told on my standard edition.) No regional bonus tracks. No iTunes exclusives. And most importantly: NO GUNS & ROSES! 1 Quote
eight Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 They're perfect the way they are. 2 Quote I'M NOT SORRY
LittleFool Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 There are a few bonus tracks I really wish made the official track listing (and I personally dislike bonus tracks tacked to the end of albums; I prefer integrated deluxe albums a la Born This Way) but I like the regular track listings themselves. 2 Quote
Creyk Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I really like the "NO GUNS & ROSES!" part 2 Quote

trayertrash Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I would make Ultraviolence an EP 01. JFK 02. Jay Ef Kay 03. J~F~K 04. JFK (Cedric Gervais Remix) [uganda Bonus Track] 3 Quote

Creyk Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'd just cancel the session Lucky Ones was recorded so it wouldn't exist why do you say that it's a beautiful song I actually motorboated someone while in the background Lana was singing "Every now and then the stars align boy and girl meet by the great design could it be that you and me are the lucky ones" and it was wonderful, it's one of my fondest memories 7 Quote

BENTLEY Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 If any BTD song could go with its session not existing it's Dark Paradise. Lolita begs to differ. 2 Quote
Hundred Dollar Bill Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Lolita begs to differ. Lolita is a mess but behind Emile's shitty production of it, it's a good song. The same cannot be said for Dark Paradise... 3 Quote
