BUT, if the moment is actually releasing to wide theaters in september, that means a trailer is coming either sometime in july, or at the latest in august when it could see a small festival run in late august/september when TIFF/venice starts.

 

imo don't think it'll come so soon, especially when the moment was just announced and filmed this year and that seems too quick for a movie to release. a lot of films take 1-2 years ( or even more ) to release, especially when you consider post production, reshoots, edits, etc.

 

also with a24, they tend to make social media accounts to help promo a movie, like their latest film eddington has it's on twitter and ig accs for promo right now. i haven't seen that so far with the moment *just* yet but it should happen soon depending on when it gets announced officially.

 

i said it before but i still think the potential september release date is referring to the film festivals in the next few months, and will release next year for the general public, but i could be VERY wrong lol

also toronto international film festival is in september, and bfi film festival is in october, there's probably more festivals around then, so it wouldn't surprise me either if it had a festival run, then is released later

i heard about that, I've seen few angels talk about the moment ( and the film era ), then again, a24 is yet to officially announce and there's no trailers for any of her films so I'm not surprised tbh.

 

i feel like next year is likely for a wide release ( or limited bc of a24 likes to release their films in a small amount of theaters lol ), mostly bc i remember hearing that the brat era is gonna last through next year. idk if thats true or not, but i could see the moment being promoted especially for the festivals to build hype

i forgot about those festivals lol. if it does see a festival run, it's i can see the remaining 2025 festivals for a late 2025 release, or the moment is shooting for a 2026 release, so SXSW and cannes next year is likely it's final stop ( probably even more if we're trying for oscar nominations next year ).

 

a film festival tour for the rest of this year/next year would be interesting, plus, she'll likely promote other films she's in ( assuming the rest get distributors soon ).

I know this will be somewhat disliked but regarding the recent furor regarding her live: I do understand it.

 

I enjoyed the crash tour for what it’s worth but would I pay £100 to see someone writhe in water, sing through heavy autotune and loud backing vocal tracks? No and she should take the feedback and adjust accordingly. Either she needs to do full choreography here and there again or she should get some vocal lessons, cut the alcohol on stage and keep the autotune synced for creative effect for some songs only where needed- like Lucky.
