Now that it's out, let's discuss song theories

[CarcrashBandicoot]

We should lock this thread until release.... it hasn't released anywhere yet....

sitarhero gave permission in the other (messy as fucc) thread for them to make it

Ik... but it's not even out yet so...????? Just let that mess stay there until release at least in NZ when it's out before most countries because time differences

[May]

i'm really interested in who and what Art Deco is about

'club queen on the downtown scene' suggests it's about a girl which is rare for a lana song

pick one, any one

Oh wow you found an empty room the size of your ego

[May]

oh wow this thread is already shaping up to be as messy as the pre-release one and it's not even been 10 posts yet congratulations

[SuperMegaStan]

is this the thread for reviews? so the old thread will be locked?

[SarcasticBeauty]

This is gonna be good. lol

[annedauphine]

Fuck guys please go fight in the pre-release I mean it's exactly why me made this thread. @ any mod can someone delete all this useless posts (except May's one) and indeed maybe lock the thread? I'm writing all my theories anyway I think it's fair enough to wait until everyone heard the record but I beg you not to start a mess I love this album and I would love to be able to discuss it seriously

[comeintomybedroom]

Why can't I buy this on iTunes if it's been released?

[annedauphine]

I think so, reviews, song theories etc idk if the old will be locked tho

[Mind Melt]

y'all it's a thread it's not that serious lmao

[annedauphine]

I know but on the pre release thread there must be at least 300 pages of pure literal shit and drama it's annoying too there's no in-between and if you have a serious post even if in the end it's not that serious it can't even be seen amongst all the other mess posts. Oh well whatever

no i'm siding with you! it's only a thread people are making a big deal out of nothing!

[lernerderrey]

the lyrics are so weak on this albummmm.

born to die will 4ever be her best album(even tho i like AKA more) cuz its a collection of songs she worked on for a while, recording multiple versions with multiple producers, exploring the different sounds and lyrics. it also explores orchestral trip hop or w/e which is pretty fuckin cool.

if honeymoon had better lyrics, it would be her best album. i'd really like to hear an album full of remade/reworked old songs to sound like honeymoon.

Oh ok I apologize. It's 6am I'm taking everything too seriously

[AlreadyCoolest]

Not people complaining that it's "too early" to make this thread when we've all heard Honeymoon in full and had time to digest it   The UV post-release thread was made after it leaked also.. All that matters is that we've heard the music, so pipe down.

I couldn't respectfully disagree more. I think the lyrics of HM are so much more powerful and empowering than BTD's one. I think it's also because I grew up, and I now much more relate to the mature lyrics of HM than the cheesy-in-a-good-way lyrics of BTD. It's not the same themes at all either, and it's really an unpopular opinion but I'm truly delighted by Lana's writing on this album. BTD has some gems of writing, VG BJ OTTR, but this album's writing quality is much more cohesive imho, as a whole, which is peculiar to this particular album. I most definitely understand your view on BTD though, even though I personally don't share it as I prefer Honeymoon Glad this is the direction this thread is going, thank you!
