NikodemDeVault Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Still no thread about him?! So strange! An artist of considerable range, Chet Faker — the name taken by Melbourne-raised, Brooklyn-based Nick Murphy — writes, performs and records all of his own music, giving it a warm, intimate feel with a solid groove structure. His critically acclaimed, debut full length album Built On Glass was released on Future Classic / Downtown in April 2014. The album was the highly anticipated follow up to his 2012 EP Thinking in Textures and Lockjaw, his 3-song EP with fellow Australian producer Flume, released in late-2013. Chet Faker recently won five ARIA Awards including Best Male Artist, Producer of the Year, and Best Independent Album. I Was An Angel Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 i fucking love that guy. his cover of No Diggity is the only v of this song i can listen to, and Melt is probably my fav. it never gets old. i guess maybe because it's not as experimental as the others. on another note, Gold is my favorite music video 1 Quote

KillForLove Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I feel kind of bad because although I like him, (imo) he'll never top the No Diggity cover which is absolute perfection My personal favorite of his originals is 1998 but I much prefer Thinking In Textures as a work than Built On Glass which I found to be kind of bland and disappointing at points. I hope he hones his sound a bit better for the next record 0 Quote
