Changed Opinions on Lana and her music

So maybe some of you like me have had opinions that have changed about Lana over the years so im just gonna mention mine: and TELL ME ABOUT YOURS! Its so interesting how our opinions change

I used to hate the Paradise album art. I thought she looked too fake tanned, and that she was wearing extensions, so it was too fake for my liking, but now i think its pretty artful and beautiful. Its like her idea of heaven.

I didn't like National Anthem, or Off to the Races, when i first heard them because i didn't like anything that was similar to rap music back then, but now i love them, they're my favourites to sing! I dont even like Blue Jeans on the first couple of listens cause of the way she sung the verses. but its the song that makes me most emotional now.

I got scared off from Cola at first because of "My pussy tastes like pepsi cola". I thought she was being up herself and trying to get all the attention, but I realised she's basically joking and having fun, and now Cola is one of my favourite songs

I thought Brooklyn Baby was boring at first and didn't know why it was a promo single for Ultraviolence. But now I love it ofc, and know its means a lot to her and her lifestyle. Its just a chill song, so i know why she didn't put strings and more elements into it

I think everyone had this opinion but I thought the last half of the Honeymoon Album (Burnt Norton to DLMBM) were too quiet and not interesting. I listened to it at night in bed and was kinda like 'WTF' and went to sleep a little disappointed. But then the next day I woke up, listened to it almost all day, and by the end of the day it was my favourite album.

When I first listened to the full Born to Die album, i thought Lana was weird and too into this idea that she was always some black guys 'little dolly' or something, so I stopped liking her for like 1 week but that didnt last :'D i mean wtf, that's a f'd up thought to have

When she first dyed her hair dark brown i thought she looked terrible cause i was used to the light brown, but now I think its the sexiest look on her

I used to not like ANY of her AKA and unreleased stuff. I was like "thank GOD she didnt release these" but now they're like my biggest guilty pleasure, cause i know she's not happy about a lot of them being leaked, but i love them too much to give up

I found her voice really annoying back in 2012 (but i loved SS and DP lmao)

I used to think every song sounds the same

 

Quite ironic, I now consider her voice as one of the most beautiful & all of her songs sound different

When I was first introduced to her music I didn't like it at all, I was bitter that she had won the BRIT awards over cat power (lol). Obvs now I love her

my opinion has always pretty much been that she's flawless, and nice to listen to. i come from the xtina fan-base. I am use to waiting ... and getting nothing but some FT or an interview/new season of the voice.

I use to not really pay attention to Lana's song meanings, like the little messages she leaves that you wouldn't really notice unless you really pay attention to the lyrics and instrumentals but lately I am doing it, I try to understand the meaning behind her songs and what motivates her to sing those themes based on the interviews and all I think I know from her based on all the information the internet can provide me about her 

 

It's really creepy but I feel like I understand her now better as an artist and as a person now than when I did back in 2014 when I started to "Lanalyse"

I thought Sirens was Lana's magnum opus then Us Against The World BUT THEN NOIR LEAKED THE NEXT DAY AND I'VE BEEN OBSESSED EVER SINCE         

I hated Florida Kilos the first year UV came out but it's grown on me 

I hated all of Honeymoon the first few listens, but the first half has grown on me I guess... but I think I on'y tolerate it since I needed to listen to something new 

I was sooooo excited when I heard Roses leaked but after one listen I didn't replay. 

I thought So Legit was so shiitty and mean but, even as a Gaga fan, I semi love it

I hated the song Born to Die when I first heard it but now I can't stop singing along to it whenever I hear it.

I feel like she has filler songs, fillers in the sense that she didn't thought through or made those songs with passion, like, you can't compare carmen with florida kilos, I don't know if anybody else agrees with this, but well that's what I think

when i first heard born to die i disliked it a lot and i thought she was a depressed and boring singer. also i used to make fun of her saying that she never smiles and stuff

first song i've heard was born to die on some gossip website and they wrote there like she was rich daddy's girl so obv i didn't like her and i thought that born to die song is boring

few days later i found myself singing video games and that was it... i was in... i started to dig more and actually first songs i heard/loved were her unreleased, at this point whatever lana releases i love less or more but i think i love her lyrics more than her sound actually (but i still love the sound tho)

i didn't like video games but somehow i still got btd and carmen when they were they were available for free on itunes and they got me into her, i then realised that video games is more than just a basic piano ballad when i bought btd (the album).
