GodBlessMe Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 The title says it all. If you could change something on one of her albums (aka, BTD, Paradise) what would you do?? For example: -Change the artwork. -Change the tracklist. -Different singles. -Etc. 0 Quote I AM MY ONLY GOD
Creyk Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Make BTD a 20-song album, many of the outtakes are really good songs 7 Quote
TRENCH Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Prevent the songs on BTD from being overproduced like Dark Paradise and TIWMUG if you count LDR AKA LG ,I would change the name because no one know what exactly it's called 1 Quote
GodBlessMe Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Make BTD a 20-song album, many of the outtakes are really good songs Lol actually I would make it shorter and take out DP, MDM, DMD, Lolita and TIWMUG... 2 Quote I AM MY ONLY GOD
GangstaBoy Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 BTD I would add YCBTB and use the demo version of TIWMUG, the one that sounds really hip-hop like -cause, let's face it, it's x10 times better than the album version. In terms of artwork I would fix the horrible mistakes of the lyric book and add all the pictures from the cover session. 3 Quote

slang Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I don't know if this is a change per se, but I'm wondering what happened in the parallel universe where LDR just left LDRAKALG on itunes to see what would happen with it. Would this have interferred with creating BTD? Also I would have liked to see AFFA at the end of the Paradise EP as Bel Air, while pretty, is not a very good closer. AFFA would have made a brilliant coda given its relation to Ride (sonically and thematically). 6 Quote
Lirazel Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Lol actually I would make it shorter and take out DP, MDM, DMD, Lolita and TIWMUG... but... TIWMUG is necessary for BTD! Say what you want about the music, but the lyrics are iconic and they are the best ending to the record's narrative. It shows how self-aware Lana is of how destructive and unhealthy her taste in men can be. 6 Quote i am nothing and should be everything

Say what you want about the music, but the lyrics are iconic and they are the best ending to the record's narrative. It shows how self-aware Lana is of how destructive and unhealthy her taste in men can be. That's actually true... But DMD, MDM and DP are still shit! TIWMUG and Lolita fits the themes of BTD very well lyrically but they still need better production.... 0 Quote I AM MY ONLY GOD
Lirazel Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 That's actually true... But DMD, MDM and DP is still shit! TIWMUG and Lolita fits the themes of BTD very well lyrically but they still need better production.... I'll have to agree with you on DMD and MDM. I used to hate the first one (it grew on me, but is still not a favourite). MDM will forever be boring - I often forget it's on the record at all! Personally I love Dark Paradise, but I find it weird how much the lyrics changed from demo. 1 Quote i am nothing and should be everything
Pancake Karma Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Lol actually I would make it shorter and take out DP, MDM, DMD, Lolita and TIWMUG... So basically all the good songs... 10 Quote
Rayse Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Not let Cedric Gervais remix the shit out of summertime and not have that be a single 3 Quote
GangstaBoy Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 That's actually true... But DMD, MDM and DP is still shit! Watch your tongue Million Dollar Man is one of her finest songs, it has an amazing jazzy vibe and the lyrics are genius 18 Quote
silver starlet Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I love BTD the way it is but I think it would be interesting to see how it would've turned out if all the songs were like the demos 0 Quote

Atom Heart Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Make Paradise a full length LP. The transition from Born To Die, her false ascent into heaven. 1. Ride 2. Angels Forever 3. Starry Eyed Lana becomes saddened by her time away from Earth and is reminiscent of her past life. 4. JFK 5. Hollywood 6. Bel Air 7. Blue Velvet Lana returns to Earth in search of the love/lust that she lost. 8. Body Electric 9. Gods & Monsters 10. Burning Desire 11. Cola 12. Yayo 13. American Im debating whether or not to add the Tropico versions of the songs and their interludes to help the album bridge easier from start to finish. 5 Quote
Guest Dot Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Lana Del Rey - "Nevada" Track list should stay the same. I love all of her 2010/2011 song and I would love to have them released on an album before the release of BTD. But I guess things would've been way different for her if that was the case. BTD was pretty flawless overall, I think. I think more pictures in the booklet would've been reall cool, the same goes for Paradise. I think Without YOu should've been on the standard edition, instead of TIWMUG. Single-wise I'd change a few things, though. Video Games / Blue Jeans (Dual Single) Off to the Races (Promo Single) Radio (Promo Single) <- The Carmen video works for this just as well tbh. Born to Die Summertime Sadness (WW release) National Anthem Blue Velvet (Promo Single) 1. Ride, September 25th 2012 Body Electric (Promo Single), October 31st 2012 Bel Air (Promo Single), November 9th 2012 Paradise, album release (November 9th) 2. Cola, January 2013 Burning Desire (Promo Single), March 2013 Without You (selected territories), March 2013 <- in support of the Paradise Edition of BTD 3. Young and Beautiful (WW), April 22nd 2013 (+ video released one day later) -> one or two TV performances -> TROPICO film shooting in mid-late April "Paradise Tour" launch, May 2013 Europe: May - July 2013 North America: August - September 2013 Europe: October 2013 South America: November 2013 4. Gods & Monsters / Summertime Sadness (Remix), July 2013 TROPICO video premiere after Lollapalooza Then again, I think Paradise could've actually been a full-length album. The outtakes are really good. 5 Quote
