Any resemblance is just copy conicidence Big NAILS claws Lana del white dress Lana del shadows

for some reason Lana only has likeable inspirations. Coincidence? Maybe. Not only Icons but Icons that are loved. Maybe many don't like Britney's music but I never met a person who dosen't like Britney.

Oh I love young Priscilas look!! She was so stylished and gorgeous!! I think Lana does copy her style. Maybe Lana thinks is beautiful and had work well for Priscila so why not reproduce? Something like that I guess. She said it all 100 times: thematically, visually and sonically. This is her visual theme for her sounds? On the other hand many of the artits from the 60' all over the world had that look. We had a brazilian very famous singer called Astrud Gilberto. She was also famous in the scene in NY and France since she was also fluente in english and french. She had the same kind of numb face and tone to her presentation like Lana. Also the big hair and white and blue dresses with headbands. Sometimes I think Lana copies Priscila Sometimes I think she just copies the 60'.'.

Is this a plot? Are you 2 getting inside my head for fun?? One more person and becomes a party pS: so many "coincidences" with the celebs she mentions often and some of her quotes including the one Liam mentioned.

you got inside my head rigth?? Get out of my head! Not only your post is what I feel but also that is one of my favorite quotes of her. I also think is a quote that says a lot about her. ps: In my opinion Lana is a really good student . I always think she did studied a lot how people got what she wanted to achieve. I think she studied a lot the fame game. One of the things that made Monroe famous was her quotes she is until today very quotable.

Would Lana be as well-liked if she wasn’t attractive?

You are right. I dont know how it feels to have severe low self steem. But to me anything severe should be treated. Like isn't severe low self steem some sort of depression? People with depression, moderate and severe specially, need treatment to understand what is going on inside them. Maybe is just a quimical unbalecement that with proper medication can get cured in weeks. Maybe is something emotional and deeper. Different people, different problems. You are also right about Vogue and fashion, specially high fashion, being fantasy. That is the thing: is fantasy. No one wears those clothes in a daily bases and also those models don't use bright orange make up all obver their eyes to have a coffeee at starbucks. That's why they are called editorial and catwalk clothes. Its a fantasy world just like the fantasy world Lana created for herself or the fantasy world Ke$ha creates in her concerts.

Obviously part of the comment was directed at you but not all of it that's why I didn't say in any moment your name or quoted your comment. I know there are extreme cases work related, school related, social and life related. But can you tell me that we girls suffer so much because of make up and dress code? A little extreme maybe? Because the answers was based on that. I also know some people suffer of low self steem. I know that and I do feel sorry for them. Some days I suffer from low self steem is quite normal is human nature. But think with me: throwing the guilty over magazines, basic social rules (which was what was discussed) like dress code and makeup a way to camuflage the problem and in consequence of such camuflage never get a solution?

Lana Del Rey at The VERSACE show at Milan Fashion Week
Viva replied to lanakissmeinyourchevrolet's topic in Appearances
Amazing. I would go lesbian for Lana Del Rey. That's all I have to say. ps: so nice when Donatella Versace sends you the perfect outfit because she doesn't want mis fashions in the first row. Don't you love Donatella's good fashion taste to dress others? -
Sorry the rant but annoys me a lot when girls pose like victims of fahion and social rules. BS. That is the most sexist things ever posing as a victim. Also cutting yourself because you feel fat. By a freacking tennis and go run to burn all those burgers you have eaten. You can use flip flops to a black tie event if you wish. If you have the style to pull it off maybe some will copy you on the next day and if you don't have people will stare. Goes to boys and girls. Life is like that. Just like everyone wants a room with a beautiful view people are attracted to other forms and shapes of beauty that includes humans and puppies. Also beauty comes in different forms and shapes.

This thread is a mess. First of all hellooooo make up is great. Taking care of yourself is great. Looking good is also great. And you can be yourself doing all that. I can't see someone becoming socially unacceptable just because she is whithout makeup. Honestly what a drama. Lana's last looks are lazy and a mess. You don't need a expensive couture dress to look amazing or spend hours in the hair saloon to have a cool hairdo. If you are attending the Brits you should dress to kill. Even if that means put on a cute short dress that would take you 5 minutes to put it on and make a nice hairdo and makeup that would take you less than an hour. Barrie should at least shower. Greesy hair just ewssss me. Ugh. Second most models are usually naturaly thin. If they are not thin by nature they shouldn't be models. No one is telling a 15 year old to starve or to cut themselves. Im 17 and I don't think fashion is the one to blame or social rules are against us girls. BS. We like pretty dresses and we like make up. I don't see many guy's buying Vogue. Its you and me. If you choose Kim Katarshian over better programes is your choice. Is the ass culture. Just change the channel or by a magazine like Times and leave alone the gossip one and vogue.

Actually I hate that song. I have many girl friends and tbh I like Lana BESIDES such ridiculous comments not because of them. I can only talk for myself and my own experience with people around me but I dont feel like monority and I never felt like boys had any advantage over me at school or in any process that I have being through. My cousin is gay and at least where I live my heterossexuals white brothers are minority tbh since Rio has so many gays. And yes girls are more cruel to other girls when it comes to hit ones character first of all we do know where hurts the most second that doesnt mean that girls dont know how to be friends with each other. And yes I think girls usually are more sexist than boys. And you can come for my wig but only the blond one. The pink one we are gonna have to have a cat fight over it since I won't let her go easily. And yes I have colourful wigs at home -

I think girls are a lot more sexist towards other girls than boys. Slut, whore, ugly and fat to me are girls words that boys borrow when they want to offend a girl in a way only another girl would know how. I also think that today beauty, in some extent, can be easily bought. Talent, inteligence, success and culture in the other hand you have to work at least a little for it. -
Actually long dress is kind out of fashion even for black tie or marriages. Short dresses are a lot cooler these days than long ones me thinks (me thinks means Vogue, W, Interview and some other magazines tell me. ). But... That fabric? That style? That cut? I would wear that type of dress to go to the movie theater tbh. Chanel is not always the same as elegance and sophistication. I could find something more appropriated and a lot more interesting at Miss Sixty for sure. But the important thing is that Lana own and she deserve it!!

I will do it so people can hate me a little more . Amy had gorgeous eyes but was not pretty at all in my opinion. I also can't find a hair that is not washed for a week gorgeous sorry. Her hairdo on the other hand was and still is very fashionable and amazing tbh. Her hairdo was a maniac trend. Still is cough Adele...cough really big beauty queen style Lana. Also Amy's eye makeup. The eye makeup Lana wears today was clearly based on a trend set by Amy. If Amy was pretty? No way. But she was, in my opinion, a very interesting ugly. And her talent, her voice, her personality was so magic and intense that on the stage she was the prettiest girl in the world. Amy was a huge fashionista, a trend setter, and maybe an icon. Music wise, clothes wise, hair and makeup wise. Amy's albuns, her music is one of those albuns that will transcend generations me thinks. Me also thinks that beauty is secondary and not relevant when the subject is Amy Winehouse. Me thinks Amy is above that. -
This is the only possible answer. But can't she put a little more effort at being off putting?? I mean... I don't think designers are keying in sending Lana outfits since I can't imagine a designer sending her that outfit to wear at the Brits. Imagine "Hey wear this super cool mall dress for the Brits ok?" Just can't with that outfit...ugh

i love that picture so much Edit: Lana del rey has a gravely tone with a tormented soul a la Kurt Cobain. They sure like to make her look like a tormented soul in headlines

The sonically, thematically, visually work of art ones are my favorites.
