lol same, i love her music but she’s...so pretentious, about everything. release dates, singles, her name...it’s cool but i don’t really understand why. i LOVED the recent picture on Charli’s IG of her hugging Charli & smiling, though!! It was the most human pic of her I’ve ever seen, gave me hope. :’)

Guys honestly I think the biggest reason there have been only three songs on the mixtapes with any SOPHIE involvement (and just one solo SOPHIE production) is because she's probably charges more than a mixtape budget. I'm not 100% sure, because no-name artists like Banoffee and Quay Dash have been able to get SOPHIE production, but SOPHIE's not cheap. "Roll With Me" probably cost a lot more than the PC Music productions on N1A. (The "Oh Yeah" example works really well, but I think Lady Leshurr said that about her song with SOPHIE too...and I think Le1f & a few others might have said the same thing recently.) PC Music's never been really about making money from the beginning...it's a newer thing for them to even be selling their stuff. Like....I doubt it's that complicated with the Exchange songs not being released, I think that it's probably that's probably most of the reason, not just Charli wanting to save them for something else. Not discounting that, if they really are special to her, she might want to hold onto them for awhile; but working with people like A. G. & the PC crew probably costs her and/or the label so much less than SOPHIE. I'm also thinking Stargate cost a pretty penny too...again, no way to know for sure, but they've made hits for everyone from Beyonce and Rihanna to Britney & Wiz Khalifa, and like...huge hits. So the songs intended for the album (with both SOPHIE & Stargate) probably weren't cheap either, which is why they weren't featured on the tape either.

Wait, is "Teenage Kicks" not even on Genius? WTF...I thought it would've been transcribed already. It sounds like it might be a Sucker outtake, just because the lyrics are so simple / dumb--but it could just a random outtake. Sounds post-Sucker...the production is perfectly generic. I wish I could place it, but it just sounds...average. Maybe it's the guys who did "Coo Coo Crazy" or Stargate?

"Track 10" is honestly incredible. I love Life Sim so much, and even though it feels messy it's still...gah. it's so good. When the I.D.L. sample kicks in, it's just euphoric. Same with "Unlock It." Only complaint about OOMH is that I wish it was just one of them singing, but I honestly wouldn't care which. I think their voices all fit it pretty well.

I think the Scrobbler thinks that "track x" titles aren't properly labeled, so it won't scrobble anything with that. If you add a space it works, lol.

Yes this is more like Super Ultra than N1A in some places honestlyTrack 10 is so disjointed, but still so good. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ OOMH & Femmebot are my second & third faves. Also Track 10 won’t....scrobble.

Makes sense...she's an amazing (and prolific) songwriter, she churns out a song a day, she is flexible enough to work with pretty much anyone, she still has enough energy to tour almost constantly, and she has the ability to adapt to a bunch of different sounds and styles. She's honestly just...a different kind of popstar than most. I'm thinking about songwriters like Starrah & Noonie--they honestly seem pretty happy just putting out songs / features when they feel like it. They aren't bound by multiple album contracts, and they have freedom to pop up almost anywhere. I wish Charli had that kind of autonomy with the ability to capitalize on it commercially...when she wanted to.

Yeah, really good point. I wonder how that works, haha...if she has any budget at all. It’s true that she’s brought the PC crew to a much larger audience than they likely would have had before, for sure. Obviously, they were both making waves beforehand, but when Charli did Vroom Vroom and kept working with SOPHIE / PC Music, it definitely didn’t hurt as far as publicity goes. True...I wish I knew which show(s) SOPHIE played the demo at. Charli’s interview made it sound kinda recent, and if SOPHIE has a house in LA it definitely wouldn’t be too hard for her to just hang out there whenever and just write. Also, Charli writes over email all the time...so I feel like it’s possible that she could have a LOT more of stuff with SOPHIE that might be a lot rougher. If @’s right (which i personally think they are), then SOPHIE did her version of No Angel after the demo with the Invisible Men was done—which means there could be countless tracks that SOPHIE reworked, maybe just building a track around Charli’s vocals. I D K. All hypothetical.

There's hope! Just because there's more features on this one doesn't mean it won't be as good...and "Femmebot" is really good if it's like the demo, and most of the collabs will probably work really well. Jay Park is probably the biggest outlier, so now that we've heard it I doubt that any of the collabs will be as lackluster. A. G. knows what he's doing + even though it's a mixtape, Charli writes so many songs that I don't think these are just bottom of the barrel. If she wanted it to be a solo project, she could've made it one. She's been friends with Brooke & MØ forever. ALMA is her friend, they've obviously worked together for awhile. Tove and her have probably been in the same circles for awhile. Caroline hangs out with the PC gang all the time. Carly is in a similar boat; they're mutual friends (or at least collaborators) with both Noonie and Danny L Harle. Dorian & A. G. have been friends for awhile, and she'll probably vibe really well. Mykki & Pabllo seem kinda random, but I think it'll work; Pabllo's Major Lazer song makes it seem like she can work with Electronic stuff pretty easily. (This is coming from a fan who honestly prefers solo stuff, but she seems happy with it & I think the finished product will be pretty good. Her songs with EasyFx are great; already, the two we've heard are as good as the upper level N1A stuff! Or close....I think they'll age pretty well. I KNOW! Made me really happy! Honestly this is all pretty speculative but I have a feeling SOPHIE wants a pretty penny for her songs with Charli...based off the fact N1A had only one exclusively SOPHIE song (and the drops on "Lipgloss," lol), and this one has just one co-production. I'm guessing A. G. charges less...I dunno. I think they're all actually friends on some level, but ultimately there has to be a financial aspect as well. :/

No, he’s referring to N1A too. I kinda agree—it’s just weird because A. G. is capable of making super creative / different sounding stuff (GFOTY’s album, for example), but then “White Roses” and “Blame It On You” are incredibly watered down. I think in the effort to make Charli’s music more commercial, they’re working with inherently basic instrumentals.

Only $10,000 away! Yeah I'm pretty sure "Bottles" leaked with "What the Hell" and "Duke" in 2016, right? That was when I was listening to her way less, but I know they were before the recent wave of stuff. Also "Sticky" was around Halloween last year. She said in the interview before the OOMH premier that she'd been working on it a "couple months..." so I'm thinking as the Stargate & SOPHIE songs started leaking, she started figuring these out. The "Femmebot" demo was played by A. G. at a showcase last year, so that was probably one he had sitting around. I'm not sure when OOMH was played, but that's probably in the same boat. I'm guessing as we hear the rest, we might recognize some of the other tracks too...with PC Music, you never know. Now that they're going more commercial, I think more and more songs are going to resurface a la SOPHIE's "Good Good Thing Going On" getting re-recorded recently.
