Yeah, I think she's been around long enough that a lot more people know of her than i think. I was singing "Blue" last week & a friend finished the lyrics and I was NOT expecting that...but I'm also in NYC, where I think non-mainstream culture is better known.

This has probably been posted before, but I just found "Money" on BMI by looking through Steve Aoki's songs...it's registered here. The four writers are: Steve Aoki (duh) Brian Lee (who worked on "Work from Home" by Fifth Harmony, "All Night" by Icona Pop, & "Good Time" by Owl City, among a lot of other things) Tushar Apte (who has done stuff with Chris Brown) Sophie Rose (who I tweeted about the song!) "Money" is SOOOOO GOOD, I listen to it more than almost every leak but "Can You Hear Me" & CTMP.

I'm confused about "only threw this party for you" because it's really not that great a song, from the couple times i've made it all the way through. a. g. played it at the lightning lipgloss event in his set, though, so i guess he likes it...maybe it'll be on a pc release. also if anyone needs help with specific charli songs, i'm happy to oblige - i think i got them all, aside from some snippets! might take me a few days, but my inbox is open. <3

No. She said HH wasn't, the four Rick Nowels songs were just...idk. They were I think just meant to be given away. Same (probably) with AATT, because the Matt Squire / Kool Kojack stuff all fits in the category (with the MachoPsycho songs + "Strobe Light") of stuff she probably did before she wrote Stay Away and started writing with Ariel.

Maybe "Angry All the Time" and "Duke" too, right? And maybe "What the Hell" too...trying to think of any more demos that we know are from around that time. I think "Coo Coo Crazy" might fit in there, personally, but unsure. Same with "Mess," which i guess is a TR outtake (though never confirmed), but it doesn't really fit anywhere to me. Feels too...idk. The melody's just not pretty to me. EDIT: Thinking back...do we have a date for "I Like You?" I think Jungle Time & at least one version of Do It Well are 2008, along with "Too Cool" and "Photography." Wish I had written all this down back when we were hunting them down!

Just thinking about how much Atlantic (or Charli, maybe?) must've paid SOPHIE for the the recent stuff they did together. Maybe because the VROOM VROOM EP was before he got as big he charged less, but Brooke Candy just said she can't release her one (1) SOPHIE-produced song because he wants $10K for it. Granted, she's not on a label & it's a one-off song, so I guess he wants $$ up front before she puts it out for free...but by logic, wouldn't it still cost a pretty penny for people like LE1F & Quay Dash, let alone Charli? Idk, I guess on N1A he'd only get proceeds from Roll With Me & Lipgloss, but maybe they were hesitant to put more of his songs on there for the sake of the cost.
