  1. Did you hear?!?! We finally are getting a new Flo song!!!! Hopefully, it's another Ceremonials out-take...maybe 'Love Note, or 'Contours.' EDIT: Nevermind, it's with the DJ from SBTRKT.

I am really divided on this issue. On part of me says "Of course, it's her music and if she's ashamed of it, of course it shouldn't leak! We shouldn't even listen to it if she hasn't released it - we should honor her wishes, and perceive her as the artist she wishes to be seen as." But the other side of me says "Charli just needs to get over herself. She certainly wasn't ashamed of songs like 'Dinosaur Sex!' and 'Too Cool' when she recorded them, so why should she be now? It's pointless to try to hold back material, especially if it has already been posted on the web previously. She just needs to get over herself, and embrace the fact she should never feel like she has to try to erase her past." Understand my dilemma?

I'm glad we finally get to hear another J£ZUS MILLION song, because she said that at least two would be on Super Ultra, but only one was. I also hope that she has some real leaks, eventually. The songs with "Dr. Luke's people" are bound to be terrific, as are anything else she's ever done.

5: Is that "Midnight," "Watching You," and..."Mess," "Lonely Jaguar?" 2: that mysterious Blood Orange cover and "The Killing Moon?" 2: Not "True Romance" itself, right? Don't forget, "Angry All the Time" is old - very - and she talked like the Greg Kurstin song(s) were def. gonna be on the album.

Why bother making new ones, is my question. Here's a rough tally of unreleased songs, not including MySpace demos/ancient stuff: 13 MNEK songs ~13 "Pop" Producer songs ~13 Old/New unleaked titles ("Do It Well," "Interior," Rick Nowels songs, Blood Orange songs) Even if she just took the ones she liked best, that has to be at least a record...and don't forget "Mess" and "Lonely Jaguar."

The most important thing to keep in mind about 'Stay Away' is that it's the earliest released track we actually have, not including the early material which she wishes she had never released. It is the first song to come from her sessions with Ariel - the first of the 'new era,' if you will. When Charli was first signed to Atlantic, she worked with many very 'Pop' producers - people like Matt Squire (Ariana Grande, Katy Perry), MachoPsycho (P!nk, Jessica Simpson), and Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Sky Ferreira). She has said herself the songs from these sessions weren't making her happy - they just weren't the kinda thing she wanted to release, that fit her idea of how she wished to appear as an artist. Then, she met Ariel. The first day they met, in just two hours, 'Stay Away' really just came together. As you can imagine, she was immensely pleased - not only way the track incredible, but it helped show her exactly what kind of music she wanted to make. So even if it doesn't fit perfectly with all the other songs, it's still (A.) an incredible song, and (B.) represents a turning point for Charli artistically. I have to agree, with a few possible exceptions; 'So Far Away,' 'Cloud Aura,' and 'Grins' certainly do not match it, lyrically or musically . And I think we will all be quite impressed with 'Take My Hand' - from what I've heard, I think that will be a universal favourite.

Ditto. She just didn't tease "Take My Hand."

  10. I know! There was her first deal, which resulted in all those tantalizing titles you can see on BMI which we will never, ever hear. That's where we got the video for "Derek," and a few other very old songs. Now she's signed to Warner Bros., and even though we've gotten plenty of singles, obviously she's not going anywhere.
  11. Here's one of them: I bet you're right, but it's still sad. And no, HDB, "Zombie" hasn't surfaced yet.
  12. Well, she's done "My Hand" live, right? I'm not sure, but I think I've seen at least two videos of it... Of course I know who you're mentioning. And I'm sure he could have, but the urge in me to believe is insanely strong. What happened to "Zombie?" It's supposed to be really good, and I heard she really liked it.
  13. I haven't been a "fan" fan in forever, but I think I might have stumbled upon some interesting tracklisting details. . . Please don't think I'm sure about this, cuz I'm not, but it would make some sense. Bad Dog Silly Girl Poisoned With Love Picasso I Like Boy Sweat Gold Get Over You My Hand Get Over You Lost Weekend Not sure, and again, I kinda doubt it's perfect, but at least it's a hope.

Not done evaluating yet. . . here are some observations for us to compare on, Sitar. 'Always' is just too little to be a song, i.m.o. Would have been a great interlude, and isn't bad per say, but it's just not that interesting and frankly rather boring. Why do you like 'Slave' so much? I'm sure I'll like it more after I've listened to it a few more times, but so far I'm not impressed. 'Area 52' is A W E S O M E. An alien song like only Karen could deliver...I haven't heard this much fire in her voice since what feels like forever. For all its beauty, no song on It's Blitz can match this song for energy. I'm not willing to say that this will apply to me forever and always, but I think I prefer 'Wedding Song' to despair...the new 'Hysteric' and 'Little Shadow,' except they're both super-long feeling. I just started playing 'Area 52' again, and my resident hamster is running like mad upon her wheel.

It finally has that awesome, melodramatic bridge I've been waiting for since the iTunes Festival. And I still don't know which 'new' clip is which, but that just gives me more and more anticipation for the 15th.

  24. You're thread is so lonely! I just started listening to them again...I tried back in 2011, and it didn't go down well. Then again, I was, like, 13 years old, so I'm way more mature etc. now. I just started again with 'Under the Blacklight...' I'm really enjoying it! Jenny's voice - forgive me for saying it - can be a little annoying at times, but I think they're definitely a band I'm interested in appreciating.
