I genuinely don't understand why people are so desperate for a version without the BTS footage. You're getting looks on looks on looks but also Lana's actual personality. There's no actual story to the footage they were filming, the BTS is the story so I'm not sure what you're hoping for??

I get what you're saying and I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong, but to me the song is so clearly about a relationship. I guess I'm desperate for meaning bc the rest of the song resonates so much with me that I want to figure out how to make the chorus about me too lol

Maybe I'm an idiot but I'm no closer to understanding what Candy Necklaces represent in the song. Obviously in the video, they're being depicted as real necklaces and I can get the imagery. But still don't understand in the context of the lyrics.

She literally explained why it's behind the scenes footage IN the video. The BTS was the entire vision for the music video so stop complaining and just enjoy the looks.
