Would just like to interject with a comment about how freaking excited I am for Tropico. I feel like it's been ages since we had a new Lana video so I'm beyond excited about this.

OMG so many criticism about my fav song...to me Body Electric is always amazing tbh
Although since the PERFECT album version I rarely listen to the live versions, because in the studio version her voice is so different, seems so distant, it totally draws me in. And I don't mind the repetitive lyrics, I'm sure in her mind it makes sense somehow.
I completely agree. Not that I can't understand why some people dislike it, but then I think that's the thing about being a part of a Lana community, it's like any community in that everyone will have hugely differing opinions. BUT, I adore Body Electric. Granted it's very repetitive, but I've loved it ever since the first time I heard it. I also thought it was beautifully done live on Sunday night. It was one of my favourite performances of the night, and I think it made more of an impact live when you're in that arena with the lighting effects, etc.

This song is really beautiful. The combination of their voices works so perfectly together, and the video is the cutest thing in the world. I like that Lana still falls back on her idea of vintage footage, and it works so beautifully in this video. Aside from it being a gorgeous summery song, I love seeing her look so truly happy.

I decided to go out on a quest to do an entire AKA CD as if I was assigned the project by her label myself, and this was the result! It includes a 32-page booklet, a tray insert, and a CD label.
This is absolutely perfect. I cannot even express how perfectly each song is captured. It must have taken such a long time, but well done, it is truly a masterpiece!

I really love what I've seen of the Dreamland photoshoot. I think that when Chuck photographs Lana it always looks amazing, because she seems to so perfectly capture the vision Lana wants to create. Maybe it's a sibling thing. I just wanna see more!

Thanks!
Well, I made some new covers but I'm not really happy how they look right now, so I only show you two of them.
These nails...
This is perfect!! The picture absolutely fits the song. I've been wondering what song it would suit for ages and you summed it up perfectly, I love it!

I love 'Yayo', I love the use of bright lights and darkness in the cover, it just captures it perfectly.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Video Games. It was the first Lana song I ever heard, and when I first heard it, I wasn't entirely sure what the appeal was. But listening to it on a more frequent basis, it has become one of my favourites. One thing I love about Lana is her idea of honouring lost love. I'm a huge believer in still caring for and respecting someone you loved who you aren't with anymore, and I feel like this song is the epitome of that. She turns the simplest of things (getting undressed, playing video games, etc) into this simple love melody. As well as all the big things in life, I like to remember details, no matter how mundane they are, and I think people forget how much happiness can be had from just simply sitting around all day playing video games with the person you love most in the world. To me, the simplicity sold it to me. It's quite a stripped song, compared to most others on BTD, but I love that. You can hear the haunting sadness at the same time as understanding her love for this person. I just feel a really strong connection with it, and of course, it was the gateway into my Lana Del Rey obsession.

This is so perfect, I think this is my new favourite shoot for sure!! I love the photo of Lana wearing the black veil

This is probably the best thing I have ever seen in my life. I would buy it in a heart beat. Let me know when they're on sale and I will be right in there.

It's crazy, me and my best friend were just discussing this yesterday and we were saying how impossible it is. But I'll give it a go!
Pawn Shop Blues- I think if I was only ever allowed to listen to one Lana song, it would be this. It's sad and beautiful and I think it's one of Lana's best lyrical creations. I connect so much with the lyrics and they got me through a time of my life where I gave up someone I loved. The whole song just gives me shivers, it is beyond perfect in my opinion.
Trash Magic- This is almost the opposite of what I just said about PSB, because it doesn't really consist of many lyrics, but I adore this song. I love the feel of it, the almost sadness in her voice. It is beautiful.
Marilyn Monroe- I love Lana's fascination with Marilyn, I love the lyrics, I love the upbeat feel. It's catchy and lovely.
Raise Me Up- This song is another masterpiece. It just is.
Junky Pride- I love Lana singing acoustically, and I love this song in particular because the lyrics are so beautiful. It's gentle and honest and I just really think you can see both her strength and vulnerability through this song.
Honorable mentions: Yayo, Dark Paradise, Body Electric, For K part 1, Dangerous Girl, Motel 6, Prom Song, Summertime Sadness.

For sure. Tomorrow I will summarise it no problems (is 3:30 am already and I have Uni tomorrow so sleep time for me). I just don't translate the whole thing because I know people here that are able do a better job. Sebastian speaks french and there are other french members that would be able to translate the interview perfectly. Since like I said I am not fluent.
They call it : Anatomy of a Legend. Funny .
Aw thank you, that's really nice of you!

the keys! in California we all have keys from like lowes or home depot but London has interesting keys for doors like pretty unique keys . I don't know why that's the main thing I remember. lol
I live right on the outskirts of London and have a very boring, entirely uninteresting key. I need to get involved in this unique keys thing, I'm completely oblivious!

I completely agree, the official Dark Paradise cover is a beautiful picture, but it doesn't suit the song at all. The photo needed to have a darker edge to it, a more haunted feel, and I think your version suits it perfectly

this song is so severely underrated. do we only have the quiet version or was there an eq? its so gr8
I so agree. It's such a good song.
