I gotta agree that lyrically this isn't her best work yet + her old lyricism was more inspired and creative, but I've felt like she wanted to be less straightforward or candid since L+F which kinda disappoints me :/ Anyway, I'm glad for its production bc it's what truly SHINES on this ALBUM

Happy Loner: there's something charming about this track but at the same time it feels a bit uninspired and conventional to me. I think it's a cute tune but I ain't imagining myself listening to it frequently. 6.5/10 Pink Convertible: I have to agree that the demo's vocals sounded way more visceral and better but I'm sure that that happens with most of her demos, yet the final could've had better BGVs although the actual ones don't ruin the song, and the production is FLAWLESS and enjoyable. 9/10 Free Woman: I was afraid of this song bc I wanted it to be the groundbreaking song off the whole album (lol) but I knew that wouldn't have been realistic, nonetheless, lyrically feels very old-Marina (just like VFT) which I love. It's catchy and the breakdown is GOOD AF, I wish the song didn't begin so abruptly though. 9/10 VFT demo: she's a cute girl that reminds me of her pre-TFJ stuff uwu. 7/10 ADIAML demo: ⬆️

Are we sure she's releasing the exact demos (writing or concept ones) of the title track and VFT tho? I mean not to be a delulu but they sounded very rough to be released

HL on my first listen is really really good sonically but lyrically I expected it to be rawer and stronger like Solitaire, Happy or Obsessions. It's gonna grow a bit on me fs but I'm glad we finally got it!

I mean, I personally find lyrics like: Again: relatable (at least to me) and direct, which is something I missed from Marina. They might be kinda cliché, yet not absolutely generic nor uninspired, but cada quien!

You got a point but idk, personally I think the breakup songs have better lyrics as they're relatable & right on the point (and Marina's lyricism stands out for being like that) so I'm glad these songs are there

I personally find it just okay lol. Again, it's creative but not pretty or much interesting What do y'all think about ADIAML now that it's been months since its release btw? I think it's an UPGRADE from L+F and has some of her best songs (to me) such as Venus Fly Trap and Flowers. It's a strong 9/10 to me FROOT > TFJ > AD > EH/L+F

It's a realy cute album, similar to COCC and BB's cases. My favs are: DSMD, WYDWM, KAEOD, ICBTW and Ode to Freedom (it amazes me how sad the lyrics are tfw)

Arcadia still amazes me and it being Lana's favorite track makes so much sense since it is poetry at its finest as the metaphors are very subjective but not hard to interpret and get, plus the outro's a persevering & sweet "fuck you" and a display of confidence in reference to carry on. It's a comforting tune <3

Text Book: great opener and lyrical masterpiece. 9/10 Blue Banisters: I found this one kind of boring when it dropped but now shes grown on me. 7.5/10 Arcadia: GORGEOUS and confident track, really like its melodies. 10/10 The Trio: bop 9/10 BBS: its darkness and chaotic soundscape are it. The outro is one of her best. 9/10 IYLDWM: nice melodies but it's kinda boring to me. 7/10 Beautiful: I find this ballad cheesy and monotonous, but she's there!. 5/10 VfR: another gorgeous song & I really appreciate her vocal delivery and lyrical content. 10/10 Dealer: I got shocked by her screams tbh. I couldnt stand Miles' voice but I currently dont mind him, both snapped. 8/10 Thunder: I prefer the demo but the album version is lovely and fits better into it sonically. 7.5/10 WW: her most unique masterpiece production-wise. I really really love this tune sm. 11/10 NOTGS: wish she would've re-worked her but still a nice track since its leak. 8/10 Living Legend: ^ Cherry Blossom: ^^ Sweet Carolina: kiiinda meh to me but she's there! 6/10
