  1. Released a new album for New Year's. It's called Winesburg, Washington. It's a "short story cycle" focusing on different people who live in a fictional town, and then some diaristic additions from myself. https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/winesburg-washington It'll be on Spotify, etc. starting January 11th.
  2. Just released a new album. If you like bed sheets becoming cocoons, ghosts rocking kids to sleep, references to gay movies from the 60s, identity rumination, and sarcastic nuclear war traumas, then this is the record for you. https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/keneth-annger
  3. Whenever I feel overwhelmed with rage or anger, I always find The Waitress by Tori Amos to be a lovely pill to listen to.
  4. I slept with somebody whose name and profession I cannot mention, but this is about all the info I could attain. Can confirm, the album will have songs on it.
  5. I actually had my first Lana dream so I feel inclined to share. The new album was one 40-something minute long track. The only vocals were in the first 3 and the snippet we heard was part of it. The rest was instrumental jazz.
  6. I got a new album. It's a bit... dark and weird. https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/brush-creek-fables
  7. do you feel the same?
  8. distant time so strange
  9. i don't, but would love to
  10. Hope it's okay to self-promote, since me and my husband are both in a bind due to work issues, and I also need to continue making music, period. It's name your price, so please don't feel obligated to buy anything if you don't want to. I'm all for sharing the art, and I already hate the idea of it being monetized, but I also can't stand the thought of writing another song about eating another TV dinner in the motel I'm living at. Anyway, here's my compilation of 2021 songs, which I kinda feel best summarizes my music escapade for the year. Some reviews have called it "dreamy", it that helps gauge it, but I really don't know how to describe it. https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/same-as-it-ever-was
  11. Little EP I did where I reflected on a lot of summers in my early college years and then some. Naturally, I wanted to show more worship and decided this was the perfect time to do an industrial/ambient mix of "Summertime Sadness" apparently. It might not be for everyone, but it calms my nerves on the bridge. I hope you like something here even if you think I sacrileged our queen and cinnamon saviour. <3 edit: cinnamon saviour?
  12. Wrote and shared this song back in the summer, but it's still one I return to myself because it reminds me how beautifully ugly one of those anxiety attacks can be (I wrote it during a panic attack after too much fucking weed lol)
  13. Also, I guess, my favorites, but I extended a lot of my considerations/choices here on the idea you pretty much don't waste your time listening to any of them! To keep it varied, I had a one album per artist/band rule. Most of these artists have made many other albums I've loved, but I've settled on these as my favorites, I guess. When it came to defending 'pop', it was too much of a pseudo intellectual headache, so I just went to RateYourMusic.com and used whatever they labeled as pop. lol Their genres are here, so please don't @ me with those, and sorry for being all presumptive beforehand. 14. So, after doing around 130 songs throughout 2021, the time of year came to make my official compilation, which I guess constitute better "official albums" than my overwhelming workaholic projects I do throughout any year. This is Same as It Ever Was, a total of 14 tracks recorded from December 2020 to December 2021. What a weird year. Personally, it's been rough. Rough enough for long conversations of saddest of sad things with so many people around me, including loved ones who normally exude such beauty. Don't get me wrong, all the people are amazing, but it's hard not to feel like... a little melodramatic in order to cope with it. I've long been interested in themes of collapse of all varieties, and especially am open with my mental health and experiences within my songwriting, but this is the year where everybody viscerally feels about the same way. So, with that in mind, I decided 2021's mood was somber, bittersweet, content, but really fucking miserable and practically grieving over the future. It's a mixture of electronic and sound collage, but through a pop structure. Not really aiming at bops, so I'm sorry about that - but I hope you can experience a painted picture of my past year; it's highs and lows, but mostly being high out of my fucking mind, and bummed out. Share it with the world! <3 https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/same-as-it-ever-was-compilation _ _ _ _ And here's last year's compilation if you are at all interested: https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/2020-compilation

  16. Cry with me sweeties. https://littleboyvelvet.bandcamp.com/album/lbv25
  17. HOLDEN my new album is named after the protagonist in 'The Catcher in the Rye'. i'm channeling energies toward toxic masculinity as subject matter. that makes it a weird project, and I have no fucking idea what to say about it, but some of the songs kinda slap, so i'll shut up .
  18. It's vague enough to where it could really go many ways. She's going to be her own person and won't take being held back from whatever it is she wants to do. Maybe it's just getting angry. Maybe it's going hard in the bed. With the verses, though, and comparing it to the color blue, though, I think it's more than likely the inability to get him out of her mind. So many possibilities.
  19. I hope people come around to the tracklist. "Nectar of the Gods" is being underrated af, when it's one of the best things she's done - but following it up with "Living Legend" had me in tears. I haven't cried like that with one of her songs since "California" the first time I listened to NFR, and I think having it follow "How to disappear" is partly why that had me such a mess.
