Obviously not a fan lol These "she's a female who sings (alternative) pop music therefore she's manufactured and terrible live" comments will always exist no matter what she does.

I don't see it as letting go/freeing yourself but more as trying to find an escape from your problems - driving fast alone etc. In the bridge, she declares she's tired of driving to escape from her problems but, at the end of the song, she's still the same girl, driving fast, dealing with same problems - and I think that's a feeling most people can relate to/find sad.

Yeah it basically sounds like a mix of Knockin' On Heaven's Door and Wicked Game... for now, but it's a 15 second snippet so let's not over-analyze it.

They must have changed the audio, 'cause her vocals sounded totally different on the radio edit the first time I listened to it and now they're more similiar to the official version. "Cruel World" is such a cheesy title idk

I love the overall mood and the direction this seems to hint the album is going. Not sure on the song itself though. I think it's a grower. The lyrics are her usual bussiness of trying more to create a mood/vibe instead of really investing into the words, but they're not bad. "Te deseo cariño/Boy it's you I desire" is cringy though, it's basically the same phrase
