as if saying "at least make an effort if you're gonna criticize someone's way of speaking a language" were an insult like "go suck your mom and shut the fuck up is", or an insult at all -

it's actually not a matter of arguing, it's a matter of one user in here thinking it's okay to tell someone else (me, actually) "go suck your mom and shut the fuck up" or to mock someone else's way of speaking a foreign language saying they're a pain in the ass i personally won't stand for it -

no one is telling you what to believe though, it's the exact opposite -
the four singles are really, really good, and are completely devoid of the muffled, watered-down tone the songs Jack produced had, but to me, text book really stands out. it's actually such a serene song, it has this vibe of accepting exactly how sad one's own past was, the ways in which it shapes one's present, but such honesty leads to a hopeful, appeased outlook on things. it means healing thanks to some people you meet along the way, whom you can open up to, who will bring you the things you couldn't find yourself. the lyrics from the chorus, when she speaks of her family to her lover, although seemingly somewhat incoherent, break my heart everytime. the melody and production are gorgeous and fit the theme perfectly.

however i can not get over how bland dance till we die is, apart from its bridge... the melody, the vocals, the lyrics, the production, it's all just so uneventful. kind of a shame the end of the album has all those similar-sounding songs which are not so good in my opinion (except for yosemite) because the first few tracks are really, really good.

in my opinion, the title track is the best song on the album. it's just so good. it has the most haunting build-up, leading to the heavenly juxtaposition of different vocal layers at the end, but i have to say it is outstanding from the very beginning. the abrupt way it starts, the low voice, the seemingly mundane lyrics, her vocal delivery, the harmonica, violin and the guitar that add so much to the song... that's one of the few songs on chemtrails whose production is actually great the way it is people said this song was warm, i'd say it is really cold on the contrary, like winter is

it's kinda weird that they should've leaked dealer and not loved you then and now i mean dealer is going to feature on this album so that's both kinda useless to leak it as we were gonna have it in one month anyway, and really not cool for Lana to leak part of her upcoming album i agree there's a chance she's going to release loved you then and now in the future though so its leak wouldn't be devoid of ethical issues either

i'm all for her reusing older songs and writing her own story but i just realized lyrics like 'heroin gold in my veins' were going to be there side to side with 'chuck is making birthday cake jake is running barefeet there's a baby on the way' -

by the way isn't it a weird coincidence that all the leaked songs lana picked from her older repertoire got leaked in either 2019 or 2020? -

i can fly almost making it onto the album despite being officially released already when yes to heaven got rejected for the fifth time -
so you're telling me that lana was able to dig up thunder and dealer from her 2017 sessions but somehow paid her magnum opus mary (scared of me) dust?

i think the way Lana's been using an assertive tone for the most random opening lines on this album like 'there's a picture on the wall' is kinda iconic -
