I don't hate Lady Gaga but I don't like her either. I love The Fame album and the rest's a mess imo so instead of being annoyed by Gaga references throughout the forum, I just advoid them. I think you may be getting the impression because she's mentioned quite often in topics about Lana and it winds some people up a bit. I don't really mind that much because it's not like I hate her and I talk about my faves a lot so I don't want to be a hypocrite.

I don't think making a thread about it is going to make the matter any better.

Going for 2063. Although I hate how the world is evolving and being wrecked, at least I'll have good technology and back in '63 none of my faves were around WYR be famous as a band or a solo act?

What was BTD originally intended on sounding like?
Hello Heaven replied to Hello Heaven's topic in Lana Thoughts
I don't think it's boring, I was just quoting the first thing that most people say to me when they find out I like Lana, aha. I know, Lolita and Diet Mtn Dew especially are still upbeat but there's a difference with the other tracks. -
A couple of weeks ago I was jamming some BTD demos and I thought about how the earlier ones pretty much all sounded a lot more upbeat than the album versions but with, for example TIWMUG and Born To Die toned down on the second demo and then even more for the album version. The demos sound a lot like her other kind of hip hop unreleased songs and I wondered what made her adapt the concept of the album to what's known as depressing and boring And would you prefer if it was more like her demos? I love the atmosphere of the album more but I prefer the first Dark Paradise demo, Radio demo and first TIWMUG demo being more upbeat.

Vote for Your LEAST Favorite Song on Paradise!
Hello Heaven replied to Hundred Dollar Bill's topic in Lana Thoughts
It's been said before but all these people voting Yayo. I prefer the Lana Del Ray version but can't we be grateful that she made a new version for Paradise? It's beautiful, the imperfect vocals and lack of instruments are the best thing about it and it makes it the most raw and emotional track aswell. -
Yayo (Lana Del Ray) vs. My Best Days

Today I got round to watching Noce Blanche (1989) because the full thing's on youtube and I had nothing better to do. This film's kind of unrealistic that a 17 year old would be madly in love with a 50-whatever year old teacher (and kind of gross too but Lana's gots a taste for men who're older so I guess I'm used to it) but there's something about this film that I really like. I like the fact there's no peak to the film, it just flows so it's easy to follow even when i'm reading subs. And of course Vanessa Paradis' the main character so that pretty much makes any film great. I did have to read the subtitles though, French is supposed to be my second language but i'm nowhere near to being fluent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wgrnpq7g4U

I thought everyone prefered the demo. I do prefer it but I feel like the album version's underrated and I still think it's one of the best on the album.

9.5/10 Although I prefer it when she sings in French, this was the album that I first listened to and got me into Vanessa. It reminds me of being happy in summer

I don't care what it's for I just want more music. I can't believe this.

Omg That's the great thing about loving irrelevant bands because they'd like any recognition so you could probably have an actual conversation with him. That'd be kind of scary though at the same time, what would you even say? Then again, does it even matter what you say, you may aswell make the most of being in contact with one of your favourite artists.
-
On second thoughts, if I listened to some of their earlier stuff, I'd probably still really like Issues, Ego, Up and their cover of Just Can;t Get Enough but I really hate how they've changed now.
-
I agree, she hasn't even performed everything from BTD/Paradise yet so I'm wondering whether there will actually be one after the world tour but then again. I'd definatly prefer a DVD to a CD though, I've never bothered with buying live albums from people before because it's only songs that I have in better, strudio recorded quality but it wouldn't matter if we had the visual effects with it - so a DVD would be pretty awesome.

Well yeah, I guess. God I used to be one of those people Hang on but does that now make me a hipster?

I don't see why we'd want to make up a fanbase name though. Apart from the fact they're embarassing, shouldn't Lana make on if she wants to? I think she would've by now if she was ever going to. I think she'd cringe a bit if a fan came up with some random fanbase name, for example Ed Sheeran doesn't even like Sheeranators or whatever it is which is what most of his fans call themselves.
