  1. Such hypocrites smh

When a newbie makes a WHOLE thread about stupid things like getting a drink from a stranger at Starbucks (#WhitePeopleProblems) no one says a thing and they even get sympathetic, like????????

But when someone actually makes an interesting thread to discuss about the real subject of this forum which is um Lana? People come and say "useless topic"

    DA FUKKK????????????

If you dont like it then simply dont comment

Yosemite and Roses Bloom For You are songs which exist. There. Discussed.

  2. I'd probably just be really upfront and ask her about some unleaked titles. Back when a vast amount of tracks were still unleaked, I would often envison asking Lana about all the different songs she recorded and what each one sounded like(I don't even know any unleaked titles off the top of my head anymore lmao rip those days there's nothing left). Oh, and I'd definitely tell her how fucking genius her laptop demos are, naming tracks specifically (Bentley!!) since I feel like they're a really taboo topic no one wants to bring up with her for some reason. And of course, who is K?

  3. Honeymoon came out sooner than it should have, I think this is partly the reason why it wasn't that well received by fans, it just wasn't the right time. Not only that but Lana herself could've used more time to work on the songs themselves (it must be noted that for the short time it was made in, it's an incredibly comprehensive record).

It was also very tame, a regression from the dark and brooding nature of Ultraviolence, and Lana's first time departing from an image based era, all of this made it seem boring but none of the songs are _bad_ persè. In retrospect, I really do appreciate Honeymoon more than I did when it was released. The album is far more genuine and TRULY Lana Del Rey than LFL.

In Short, LFL is like that party bitch we all know. On the surface she's great but over time you realize there's very little substance to her(Heroin is exempt from this analogy!), whereas Honeymoon is that bookish, quiet little girl you always see but never notice, yet when you actually spend time with her you see you underestimated her greatly.

  4. I've been obsessed with Heat by Paul Morrisey and Andy Warhol these past few weeks.

I'm generally not a fan of their works from that period of time as I don't care for their shoddy camera work, the ad libbed dialogue and the resulting loosely strung, barely-there plots, yet none of this matters with Heat. On the contrary, I think the respective actors and actresses have such natural prowess in and of themselves that this laissez-faire approach to filming adds a sense of realism and a kind of humour you don't find in other films, underground or not, and makes up for any of the film's shortcomings. I mean, Sylvia Miles (my DP) is fucking bomb. Her vibrancy alone makes it empowering to watch her, same goes for Pat Ast. Love the aesthetic of the whole film, its nuances, everything.

Basically you should watch it, the entire thing's on YouTube :) and there are so many quotable lines, I live.

  5. As a libertarian I strongly resonate with people's want to bear arms and to protect themselves but what's the point when this has become the result? There's no reason why a weapon of the caliber belonging to the perpetrator should be sold to anyone!

273rd shooting in America in 273 days. One shooting per day. It feels surreal to think about.

Culture is incredibly responsible for this. America did not have this problem 50 years ago, or even 20 for that matter. Fix the culture or tighten gun control. Tell me which one is simpler?

  6. I try to tune these events out of my consciousness every time they happen because it's just so fuckin sad, but this is so beyond tragic it makes me angry.

Last night before going to bed the news was talking about a shooting, way smaller and less fatal, that happened at a nightclub in my city, and today I wake up to this (makes the shooting here seem like nothing). I feel so unsafe, and just despondent for this world in general. I'm so glad I live in a country with serious gun control.

RIP... These murders are such a pain to even imagine

"oh damn, having a gun is illegal! guess I won't kill these people then" - said no terrorist ever in a strict gun legislation country

I don't believe in removing guns all together but let's not act like stricter legislations, or a full out removal of guns wouldn't deter someone from being able to do this, or at the least ensure less people die.

  7. i watched chelsea hotel no. 2 and her old money acapella and i hope she decides to do another deluxe, i know she's said no about them ever since UV but thinking about 1-2 outtakes and an acapella version of a song... im crying already

Putting Roses Bloom For You and Yosemite on a vinyl, or just releasing them as b-sides on iTunes is totally doable and would be a wonderful sales boost. It's a shame she and her team aren't creative like that

  8. I hate how glib she is on Instagram, running around like a stepford wife on livestreams. It's too bad she's on there so much now. She looks paralyzed in the face in all of her pictures as well.

Stan arrivals 2013 and onwards, sorry you missed out on our girl's alluring nature and natural beauty while she still had it.

  9. :squidward: TOMORROW NEVER CAME IS THE BEST SONG ON LFL. ALL HATERS CAN CHOKE. :squidward:

    ~Chokes~

With Sean's whiney ass voice and that Yoko reference? This is objectively wrong, sis! Even if it weren't a collab it still wouldn't be top 10.

We all know Heroin is one of her best songs of all time and those are just the facts!

An album standout. It's unfortunate the rest of the album isn't in the same vein, but I guess it'd be a UV 2.0 if it were.
