  6. imma keep it real witchall i could not care less about this album era at this point. i hate the cover artwork so goddamn much, all the single covers are equally uninspired and sloppy. i've barely streamed any of the songs for more than a few days because they just fall so flat for me, the writing is unrecognizable to the lyricist charli was with her earlier work. the production is watered down. grimes and fka twigs are both releasing progressive pop music right now, if i wanted to listen to a song with troye sivan or haim or clairo i would go listen to troye sivan or haim or clairo. maybe the solo tracks will save it for me but i am extremely underwhelmed. UNGRATEFUL FANS YADDA YADDA U ARE JUST MAD BC U ARE ANGRY SHE DIDN'T RELEASE XCX WORLD no bitch i just don't like this music
  7. and that's why we're streaming
  8. n1a has no bad features in my opinion, it feels like they were added when the songs called for it. pop2 feels like it was made specifically with several thousand features in mind which i just don't like. if pop2 was a less messy project i might actually prefer it to n1a but i think alma, pabllo vittar, dorian electra, mykki blanco, and jay park all essentially ruined their respective songs.
  9. i'm convinced none of us have actually been listening to the same white mercedes warm and feb 2017 have restored my faith in the album but these fucking features oh my god.. i know she needs them for streams and the album will have solo tracks but she honestly just weakens good songs with unnecessary guests (see pop2), they add nothing
  10. are we leaking porsche demo today
  11. i think the bioyl cover was good but they've gotten progressively sloppier looking warm is good, i like it better than cross you out or gone, i'm really keen to hear the full album at this point though because these singles are falling a little flat for me

  19. Charli’s new single “Cross You Out” is likely not dedicated to a lover, but to her “toxic" former manager David Bianchi. Let's go over the dossier: his wide track record includes musical acts such as Seasick Steve, The Enemy, The Libertines, Boy Kill Boy and many others; the most successful of his current proteges is La Roux. All David’s artists are united by the fact that the music they record is far from mainstream, however they all somehow manage to achieve minimal and very short-term commercial success. So, what exactly makes us think that Charli’s new track is connected with this particular person? On the eve of the song’s release, Charli shared with fans interesting details about the track: “This is a song about someone who at first was very caring and kind to me, but ultimately changed, and began to try to suppress my will and manipulate me. During the time that I knew him, I grew up, maybe also changed. However, from my point of view, he turned from my defender, into my executioner. " Bianchi is known for breaking up his artists. For example he broke up the band The Enemy with a scandal, because after a commercial failure and catastrophically low ratings of their third album Streets in The Sky he prevented the recording of their fourth album; he also insisted that the group’s work be more like the music of "The Libertines," another band under his management. Interestingly, in 2016 Charli also collaborated with "The Libertines" to write joint music, and the group's lead singer Karl Barat was in her video for the song "Boys," Charli's last single under the previous manager. David Bianchi was one of the first people in Charli's professional team, he was responsible for the release and distribution of her material from 2011 to 2017, after which he was fired by the Atlantic label. The reasons for the dismissal are not known, but most likely it was due to the drain of the original XCX3 into the network. He was also the head of Vroom Vroom Recordings, as well as the manager of RIVRS and Cuckoolander, artists from Charli's label, whose careers literally hung in the air when the label almost stopped its work. The last time Bianchi publicly mentioned Charli was in August 2017. Charli's best friend, everyone's favourite Mademoiselle CooCoo recently shared the following statement on her Instagram: "Girlfriend, we know that David Bianchi pumped you up with drugs and fucked you up at 14." Do we need to comment on this? And of course, who better than Sky Ferreira to become Charli's partner in a duet about toxic management? What do you think? Do you believe that the song is really dedicated to Bianchi? Maybe you trust the words of Azealia? We are interested in your thoughts.
  20. charli fans hate to be associated with other obnoxious stans so they leap at the chance to make an "ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE" post and talk about how messy and ungrateful everyone is, how the "fans" leaked xcx world etc etc. literally the only reason anybody is even having this conversation right now is because of charli's public meltdown yesterday. people on the internet (fans included) say way worse shit about popstars and their music on the daily and nobody says anything. that is just how being a celebrity in the digital age works. first of all i said nothing about lanaboards bottoms, nor did i create any narrative. i stated my opinion. right after i facetiously said how i "felt" like xcx3 is cursed i clarified by saying i hope i am wrong and the album does well and she is happy. it was a joke because obviously there have been a million issues with her third album release. second, is she paying your rent? covering your car insurance? what debt do you have to her to LOVE every single song she releases? what are these rules and regulations that now come with being a fan of her music that state that you MUST worship charli at all times? maybe that was just one of her tweets. why during the sucker era was it fine for everyone to just unstan, but now at the earliest sign of criticism everybody is being too "harsh?" she is an incredible artist and i love and support her, but as i said she is an entertainer. nobody is under any obligation to be obsessed with these new singles or with 1999 for that matter. obviously there is no need to be rude but like jesus christ, you guys need to relax and accept that not everyone is trying to like undermine her album cycle or burn down her house or something... LITERALLY like whenever ariana grande individually calls out one of her stans her entire fanbase like humiliates that person into deleting their twitter and changing their name and moving to the northern coast of greenland. the ANGELS GET HER mentality is so warped, bodyofmyown is like one of her most dedicated stan accounts i'm sure there were no bad intentions
  21. obviously i love charli and appreciate everything she does but she's not exempt from criticism, especially given all this daughter of god hullaballoo. she's an entertainer, honestly no one is under any obligation to love everything she releases just because they identify as a fan. that being said the incessant RELEASE TAXI tweets and all the leaks have got to be infuriating, so i get it (on that note, leak party for you). i think this album era has been messy and underwhelming thus far; i personally wouldn't say something like that anywhere i knew she was gonna read it, but the internet is just like that. her meltdown was a little theatrical in my opinion. she's trying to please her fans by releasing an album and she's trying to please her label by making it accessible, which is not the album her fans really want. she will never have a large mainstream audience unless she fully embraces a mainstream sound, which in the past has not worked out well for her. so what she is left with is an album that probably won't chart and her fans likely won't fully enjoy, which i think is why she is so frustrated right now. she tried to compromise and she's realizing it's not gonna work out. i feel like xcx3 is just cursed but i am manifesting success and happiness for charles with this record. i hope she finally leaves atlantic after this album and focuses on releasing what she's truly passionate about because that's when she makes her magic
  22. she needed 1999 on the album for streaming numbers. i guarantee that decision was not up to her. 2099 on the other hand....
  23. what is she fucking doing
  24. nobody with half a brain cell thinks she's being serious, it doesn't make it any less annoying. the only people who find it funny are twitter stans who preordered the album anyways. i've seen a ton of casuals and people who don't know/like her talking about how tacky it is, it's bad promo
