Exactly, she was pretty in her own right- perhaps not conventionally so but- her drug habits did mess with her face. It is subjective though, there are people who think Lana is ugly. It shouldn't matter that much what a person looks like if you like the music, it's so silly to be shallow about stuff like that. I don't need to wanna fuck someone to listen to their stuff. The appearance can add to the aesthetic, but that's it. Everyone thinks you have to have a niche or some defining characteristic to make it in the pop industry today- Gaga, Katy, Adele all have very recognizable looks. But it's not entirely true- Carly Jepsen is more of a plain jane than the girl next door. So like- Lana's appearance and aesthetic are beautiful and add to the whole dramatics + theatricality of the music, but I wouldn't not listen to her if she looked like Honey Boo Boo's mom

I really don't understand that either. And saying the record was written there when she said otherwise in an interview ,iirc. Oh well, probably just trying to relate to the fans there + be grateful

Reminds me of an earlier quote in an interview about how she'd wear jeans and a white tee shirt to perform at really fancy dinners for business people, I think she enjoys being off putting. And as much as Johnny Blue eyes styles her for videos, I don't know how much he really does for her on the day to day- he's definitely more on the eccentric side so I think Lana decides for herself what to wear unless something is sent to her (Like the Mulberry dress and bag).

One I can remember was me, Chuck, and manbait or whatever their friend's name is were at target. and for some reason we were putting up lana promotional displays like we worked there and chuck was telling me secrets of the new album and chuck was mad because she sang most of the vocals on the new album but lana was getting the credit. lmao

I wonder if she is still scared of death .. although I do continue to feel like that reasoning for the album/song title is made up (and such an unoriginal question) Death is so natural it astounds me when people are scared..and it's not like you can particularly control it. Her answers about being shy are sweet, though that's such an uncomfortable question.. very off-putting. I hate when people ask why you're shy.. what can you say to that, really?
