Luv Rihanna, she's an icon. Taylor Swift and Carly Jepsen create fun, pop music. Saying u don't like them doesn't mean u have gr8 taste i mean everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but there is nothing wrong with their music imo. This is a cool thread idea. I do wanna say, a lot of what she tweets is song lyrics of other artists, movie quotes, and poetry. Some people think her old tweets are 100% original and give her credit when it's due to Walt Whitman or Goodfellas or even Ben Franklin ha ha but of course if she uses something like Ruby Tuesday/ 7 eleven/ some drink name and you can't find it on google, imo it was lyrics to an unheard song or she was forming ideas for one. Omg though sometimes I find myself stealing her tweets to say sweet things to my boyfriend and he thinks its just be bein a qt #Sorryboutit "I know a poet. haha I thought about this before when I saw a magazine article that described "Lana Del Rey" as a creation thought up by Lizzy Grant and that the whole hollywood sad 2 d core ~shy~ girl/nervous on the stage bit was a concept created by industry people and lana herself 2 appeal 2 a certain audience. I mean you think of it- she has all these different facets and the fact that she was trying to choose between Lana Del Rey and Lana Rey Del Mar and using multiple myspaces (possibly at the same time??) for these different names with arguably different ~personalities~.. I mean she's had so many other stage names she's tried. And we've already discussed how she may have had the Interscope record deal for longer than people think.. possibly thinking of how to market her- she's not theatrical in the Gaga way, she's not bubblegum pop like Britney. I do wonder about her relationship with Van Wilson- if something bad happened- I've thought that he could be behind the meaning of 'Noir' - he was A&R for her at one point- maybe his idea for her career and image was different from hers? "it's real and it's fake.. the good stuff included" - lana del rey (completely butchered this quote, but it's something along these lines) Blurring the lines between real and the fake. It makes me think back to a comment written by one of her old producers, I believe it was.
