    Ooh I was just thinking about this today

    I can envision this

    I imagine she could almost be the female equivalent to Brandon Flowers of the killers

    I think she would still have a following, she'd be an amazing front woman

     

    But her music is very, very personal, so I don't know how that would work with a band

    A modern icon.

    I feel like she takes the best of eras and stars and merges it all into herself e.g. the vulnerability of marilyn monroe

    And an icon because she is not orchestrated or fake - her image, her songs, it's all HER (despite what nasty critics say)

    Quite popular from maybe 2013 onwards.

    Popular to the point that I worry if she finally comes on tour to Australia it will be near impossible to get tickets.

     

    Probably most of the girls in my grade at the very least like her, quite a few listen to BTD and Ultra, with a handful of hardcore fans. Also anyone who likes rap music seems to like her. But when she came out in 2012 I was the only fan that I knew of, unbeknownst one or two of my future close friends liked her too.

    pin up galore, pawn shop blues and carmen make me want to crawl up into a ball and cry for days, but they're beautiful

     

    then axl rose husband, trash and mermaid motel are almost disturbing (i don't know how to put it?????????), make me feel kinda numb, they're the kinda songs i listen to late at night in total darkness and then get scared hahah

     

    but they're all amazing and touching and i love them to bits

    I worry about Lana. Honestly have expected her to take a hiatus for a while, might be good for her. She has it tough, cops way more criticism than she deserves. And it is so easy to focus on the criticism and completely disregard the amount of love people, especially fans, have for her. And not just superficial love. I, as do many others, adore HER MUSIC, HER WRITING. My God, she's like a fucking poet. She writes like no other. Her lyrics hold a very special place in my heart, they evoke emotions I have never felt before. She has so much talent and intelligence. In my prayers

     

    Went a little deep there, but I really do think that, despite her success, her authenticity and talent and a singer/ songwriter is STILL underrated, particularly by harsh critics.
