Sex Talk is like a lost LIZ track and I feel like she should totally just take over her hyperpop-r&b lane since she tanked her own career anyway. BTR 2GTHR was really good too.
-
the beats were cheap and redundant but they really could've been expanded upon with better melodies

can we even call EVOL a music video when it was just 20 seconds of BTS camera footage of the HTBAH video chopped, slowed, reversed and repeated electra heart the era that kept on giving. I admire Marina's dedication back then to filming literally whatever she could and calling it a music video
-
yeah electra heart was a brilliant and flawed campaign simultaneously. I still don't understand how only one of the four main archetypes actually received a music video while the other main songs (Homewrecker, Teen Idle, BB) received crumbs. Obviously the budget constraints only allowed her to do so much but she really should've done more of those "home video" types of visuals like Su Barbie A for the other archetypes!

in order to qualify as an album rollout, there has to be proof of existence of said album!

She's essentially a cross between Crystal Castles and Lana Del Rey, she's 18 years old, signed to RCA and has a huge smash waiting to happen (i'm yours) which took off on TikTok. She started as a duo with her brother before both becoming soloists, he still produces her songs. She's also written songs for label-mate Ari Abdul. Check out her music here:

so there's an album and it's almost done? we love to see it

this is tying with Joyride for worst album rollout of all time

I feel like this topic as to why azealia hasn't put out an album has been briefly discussed before but I think it's a bit deeper than you might think. The reasoning behind the absence of any Azealia albums is because one you attach the word "album" to any project, there is instantly a higher expectation attached to it. This not only being the same mindset record labels have (i.e. Charli XCX discussed this exact same thing with her 2017 mixtapes) but also the pressure is put onto the artist as well. An album is what defines an artist and for Azealia Banks, the fact that her singular album released in 2014 was that good is why she's still being discussed in the present day. The follow up to BWET is the only thing she has going for her at this point. So, putting out throwaway mixtapes and singles that she can easily take down in the following weeks or months (and she has) over the years doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things because "it's just a mixtape" or "it's just a song". If Azealia Banks released any album with her current production "team", an album that isn't of the utmost qualityyyy, she would be deemed over and people would move on and say that she's lost it. Azealia knows deep down she can't follow up BWET with some undercooked and unfinished product, so she hasn't. The first album had a multi-million dollar production budget and it shows. I feel like she also believes that her eventual album release deserves some press, promo, whatever and she knows she can't get that being an independent artist without a team. Her attempts of signing to labels in the end is for the benefit of an album release. Knowing Azealia, she usually screws it up somewhere down the line before we can get to that but that's always been the goal.

finally. i know @111 will be tuning in
-
what will happen: 1. Azealia will somehow convince and manage to get Parlophone to spend their entire budget on single #1 2. Single #2 gets no promo thanks to there being no more budget and azealia fumes 3. azealia attempts to collaborate with pinkpantheress (who is also signed to parlophone) but it isn't finalised (guess why) 4. azealia somehow gets coerced into releasing a valentine's day EP instead of one of the many projects she's promised over the past decade 5. azealia gets dropped after publicly shaming the label and melting down, any future body of work that was being worked on will never see the light of day rinse and repeat

she(?) commented this on what looks like a burner account on that HDIGOYN video self aware queen needs to feed the demand and release new music already!
-
Ryn leaks have been far and few unfortunately, although, I know someone was attempting to sell her songs ranging from 2014-2020 on a certain site for $100 a song back in January anyway thank you!
-
i know it's an unpopular opinion but i really want her to sign back to a record label when she's ready and serve us some high budget collapses again like aquarius and nightride. she deserves to be a star on a mainstream level and I know she can craft easy hits if she had a competent label lol.
-
omg ryn reading all my passive aggressive posts, they’re all out of love sweetie
-
the way masochism at the most was like an EP's worth of demos that never got turned in is probably the funniest part of this whole charade
-
she seems to be coming, these last 2 years seem to have lit a creative spark under her ass. Teasing album tracks, lyrics and a tracklist etc. Plus it's not like she gives us any promises.mp3 as to when this elusive album is coming, so she's technically not a liar?
-
if she was smart and had the guts, she would've pulled a RAYE. Aired out her entire career situation publicly on social media and following some hectic label meetings... get dropped + walk away with your masters. Then rebuild yourself up from there independently. Meanwhile the only time she actually complains about her situation is vaguely in press articles.
-
but will we ever get to hear this elusive music is the real question
-
we need the full song
