I discovered Sky when she released "17" on MySpace and iTunes, I remember I read in a blog that she was the next big pop star (lol) and fell in love with her look in that music video. Also I remember when Capitol really invested in her with "One" and even released and "iTunes LP" on iTunes with the music video, lyrics, credits and even some photos. What a nice experience back then. Capitol really gave her the budget and money.

It's as awful as Lady Gaga's BTW cover. It's not iconic in any way, just strange for the Sake of being strange and ugly (just like Björk's Utopia cover lol)

The music video was NOT finished three months ago, because in May she mentioned she was still editing the whole thing herself because she was not happy with the work of the previous editor of the music video. She has been very busy during May and June touring. Maybe she already finished it during this month, but there is no way the music video was done and ready to be released three months ago (she said "more than three months", but it's a lie as usual, she loves to exaggerate). I don't get her, she said she doesn't want to be the big mainstream pop star that Capitol wanted her to be originally, but she wants a "normal" album roll out like most pop stars. She can't have that with Capitol, maybe she could have it with another labels, but not with Capitol. For them she's nothing but a small artist and she must realize that, they won't change their mind just because she wants it her way, that's the industry and we all know it's bad, but it's just how it is. It's time for her to realize that the best for her career and her fans is to settle down and release her albums as fast as she can, even though there is no big roll outs or big promo, and then run away from Capitol once she finishes her contract. But yeah, it's true, she's a real Masochist and she will suffer the consequences of her own decisions. Capitol will never change and things will always be the same. BUT SHE CAN CHANGE AND DO THINGS DIFFERENT, but she chooses not to.

I find it very funny how Charli can sing constantly about drugs or using drugs and her fans are OK with it (I'm OK with it). But if fans post about Sky Ferreira being a drug user (she even has a song titled My Molly lol) other fans (or even Sky herself) get angry af. (I hope no one gets triggered with this post, if that's the case, I'm sorry, not my intention).

Please understand, this is not your typical case of "the label is sabotaging everything". There are many many things going behind the scenes and it's not only Capitol fault. Sky has some shared of the blame as well. If the music video is not finished, is because she is the one editing it and finishing it because she doesnt trust anyone to finish it. If the music is not out, is because is not finished yet, and that's because she is not 100% happy with he results.

I believe you then sis She has performed many outtakes in the past (RIP Pretty Dull, what a bop). Get used to the disappointed 😥

I have always seen "99 Tears" as THE title track for "Cry Baby". Maybe it wasn't originally titled "Cry Baby" and the final title has always been "99 Tears", she only took that line from the song to give the album a title. Who knows. But there is NO WAY that "99 Tears" is not the album title track. It's a fucking gem.

Poor guy. He is doing the most and we al know Capitol won't reply. Those accounts are run by interns, not by executives who have the tea.

I thought the same, that she's implying that the mv is ready but someone is blocking it. "I made the music video over 3 months ago. That's all I'm going to say about it rn" She should've said "I filmed the music video..." because WE ALL know she filmed it and someone was editing it but fired him because she wasn't happy with the result and she is editing it by her own. I don't know why she is like that.

99 Tears was a better promo track than Traces. Sky/Capitol should have pushed that song hard on radio. What a huge missed opportunity.

Omg "Stagger" will appear in HBO's "The Idol" episode 3. Finally new music is coming.

If she's not releasing something soon (music video, new single, new album...) then this would be a great idea to keep the fans happy. Such a great EP and we don't have it on Spotify or Apple Music.

Don't get me started with that song... Ugh I miss old quirky Marina so much. TFJ is her best album but people keep sucking on EH' dick and it hurts so much (even though I love EH so much lol) because TFJ deserves the same love and treatment as EH.

I was such a fan of this flop during her Natalia Kills era. Her debut album gave major "Lady Gaga's The Fame" with a "dark twist". Her second/last album was very interesting and had some nice songs. But she chose to ruin her career and marry that Willy Moon flop thing and suddenly all the people remember her for is for being a total bitch on TV. She ruined her career so badly that it never recovered. Cruel Youth is so bad that most of her original fan base dont care for it. And all her other musical projects have been meh. The best she could do is try to revive Natalia Kills and do similar music.

It's weird because, BOTH of you are actually right. I know it's contradictory, but this is true when it comes to Sky lol. Sky is someone you can both love and hate at the same time, at least that's my case and for many of the Little Ferraris.

Her career has been like that since it began. I feel like NTMT was a "fuck it" situation where she threw whatever she made in a very short time and it turned out good with overrated acclaims. And now she feels the pressure of releasing a second album with the fear of becoming a sophomore slump. She is a really rare case. Some people find it iconic, I find it very stressful and little professional.

Sometimes I think she is either sad or very angry at her fans. Think about it, she is working really hard on an album and most of her stuff has gotten leaked at this point. She might feel very frustrated and sees no point on keeping her fans updated when she knows a part of her fan base have already heard the stuff she recorded mere days or weeks prior.

I hate that she premiered Stagger live months ago and it's still not out on Spotify. I wonder if it's for a Flux Deluxe, a new EP or a new Album.
