Yes ma'am. Oh my, I agree. Miss_A had such a strong personality and the production was very intricate yet very easy to digest (similar to the poppier Art Angels). But the new music just feel lifeless and generic even though they are major bops. With that said, I'm super happy that Sky is keeping the same sound she explored on NTMT but expanding it.

Yeah, and also Grimes produces her album tracks by herself most of the times. She also teaches herself to play instruments to record them. Grimes is a better artist overall and Sky is years behind her in so many aspects. But Sky voice is way better and knows how to sing compared to Grimes that relies too much in auto tune and other effects to sound decent. As much time Grimes takes to release stuff (even when she has had struggles with her labels just like Charli and Marina have had), at least we know she will get to release her projects sooner or later. With Sky is different because she always blames the label but at the same time the stuff is not ready yet to be released because she thinks her projects are not fully polished yet.

Well, look at Grimes, she just released a music video for a song that appears in her last album lol And also she has another music video (We Appreciate Power) left to release from that same album.

Why for? She won't like your work even if you are excellent. She pretty much said that she is editing it because she doesn't trust anyone but her own vision. She's pulling out a Grimes and making the music videos take too long because she feels unsure about the finished product.

That's for sure, but I also feel like they know Sky has a big fanbase for someone who has only one album under her belt. They know that once they drop her, many small and big labels will go after her because they know that fanbase will get them money. Also, Sky has everything to be a successful artist, she just need a good team and a good label behind her. But right now everything is like a perfect storm.

Well, she has kept us hooked because she hss been promising Masochism for 9 years now. We are all here waiting for it to finally get released. Or should I say for it to finally get finished? Who knows if this will be out this year lol only Sky knows. Hopefully Capitol doesn't block her again.

Why would I be fuming? It's not like I wish her the worst lol Guys just because I point out her negative and constant aspects don't make me a hater, I love her music but I won't be kissing the ass of a musician who has gotten it wrong very constantly for almost a decade. I'm very happy she uppered her live show game technically speaking BUT she still needs to fucking get on the stage on time. I hope she manages to fix that soon. But oh well, people love to talk shit about other artists, but if someone says negative stuff about their own faves that's a different story 😂 I'm not a blind fan of any of my faves, I can tell when they deserve negative feedback for their lack of professionalism.

That's not the problem, the problem is that she keeps hyping fans and announcing dates that never happen. If Sky's mom was reliable (I don't blame her) everything would be great, but the problem is that Sky might plan to do something in a certain date, but once the date arrives she decides to postpone it.

Funny enough, in an alternate universe where Halsey and Sky get along just as good as Sky does with Charli. I'm pretty sure most people here who hate Halsey (but love Sky) would be rooting for her.

Don't make it a sexism thing honey, people here would treat a male artist the same way if that male artist was as messy as Sky. The thing is that we are in LanaBoards, no StraightBoards, and most of the artists we talk here are female.

Well, at least she has more than 30 songs released between 2010 and 2022 lol But yeah, Halsey is a mainstream pop artists who thinks she is way too alternative. And Sky is a messy artist who blames her label for the lack of releases when actually she is the one who can't finish an album for almost 10 years.

I think the "title track" is 99 Tears as there is a line that says "Cry Baby cry baby cry" but who knows. Right?! But it's funny because she had so many people here back in March-May defending her blindly just because she announced/released "Don't Forget" If you had a bad opinion about her, you most likely get bashed, scolded and even insulted. But funny enough, now most people who defended her either changed their mind or are silent because you can tell that THE PROBLEM IS HER and that sucks. It was messy enough that her Pitchfork set was messy due to tech issues back in 2019. Now it's messier that it happened in both dates of the same festival and now in another different festival it happened again. The techs or her band are not the ones to blame at this point. But now everyone should understand better that is dumb to defend an artists who has been blaming everyone else but her for the last 10+ years. It's terrible to admit that the mall singer was right, she is an spoiled LA girl, I guess.

You know guys, it's pretty weird because when I saw her live IN A FESTIVAL here in Mexico, she was pretty good. She was there on time. Her vocals were great The band was great Her overall stage presence was OK I don't know what the hell happened to her. It seems like her fucking ex from that DIIV band ruined her as a professional artist. Ever since she had issues with substance abuse because of that ex boyfriend, I feel like she has been on a roll of messy stuff. I am not saying she's still using drugs or whatever (most people still think she still have some substance issues) but maybe she's still struggling with the mental toll she got from them. Maybe now she feels less confident Maybe now she has a mental illness from using drugs for a long time (bipolar disorder, panic attacks, depression, anxiety, or something else) Who knows. I just hope she manages to get better, because she is starting to let down many of her fans.
