Like no other artist I know; we're spoiled and I'm so f'ing glad

500pgs and so much worrying - Good things take time, so calm down and don't worry people - I think Lana is doing a great job at keeping the hype for LFL up at this point

Stevie Nicks Featured on 'Lust For Life'

I'd disagree in regards to Stevie's vocals - I mean can you name an artist who is past their prime who is still able to belt it out the same as Stevie? Not Madonna, not Cher - Stevie doesn't use any vocoders to help her stay current - There are few that can, some I can think of are Pat Benatar, Carole King, Tina Turner, Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin (there are a couple of others tbh) My point is Lana scored a huge collaboration with Stevie and I too hope that the song is good - Since Rick Nowels has intense history with both artists I am really hoping for the best because this is the collaboration I've wanted for years !! (fingers crossed) -
Stevie's discography is unbelievable - I own everything, including the rare studio recordings that never became actual songs; just random amazingness - You should really check it out sometime tbh

Stevie Nicks Featured on 'Lust For Life'

This is the wish I never expected to be granted <3 Stevie is a song writing phenomenon and a true artist (pretty much how I feel about Lana tbh) - I have a Stevie Nicks short poem tattooed to my right forearm... So I'm shook from head to toe right now - I don't think I have ever been so excited for a Lana release as I am for LFL -
My two favorite female artists of all time, finally together !! - Thank you Rick Nowels <3 - I'm in tears of joy right now, I've been wanting this collabo for years
-
I bought one at her West Palm Beach show before they sold out

@Eclipse You rock my world, tried to PM you some time ago to tell ya that, but I was told your PMs were full - Glad the LBDrama hasn't scared you away - All that said, I am really excited for new LDR material (like always) and I hope she takes her time and delivers some ethereal quality sh*t for our ears - Lana's evolution has been a parallel of mine (which is probably why I have such affection for her) so the next stage is something I'm really looking forward to <3

Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star Comments on Lana Del Rey
J.R.OMEGA replied to LAman's topic in Latest News
Whatever... Most peeps on this forum have no idea who Mazzy Star is because they came out in the early 90s (much like Sonic Youth) - So Kim Gordon doesn't like Lana or what she stands for (in regards to woman's lib) and Hope Sandoval doesnt know who Lana is (she apparently doesn't keep up on music trends) - Kim Gordon is past her experation date tbh and I haven't heard anything about Mazzy Star is freaking ages - I loved their music when I was in high school, but as of now I could care less about either of them tbh -
Just gonna toss this out there...all of our speculation is that Wild Side is a new Lana song, but what if it's actually a Greg Banks song co-written by Lana that he will be debuting live tonight on FB during his LiveCast - I could be way off of course, but why hashtag Lana in the LiveCast announcement (especially given her silence)

A ridiculous amount of snippets to songs I didn't know existed
-
This song is chill inducing - Like I said on another post; I rate this song up there w/ Annie Lennox's 'Love Song For A Vampire' as one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard (period) - If Black Beauty is a sign of the direction of her new album (apart from it being my Album of the Year) then hopefully Lana will finally get the Grammy(s) she deserves !!
-
Wow this is a tough one for me (mainly because there are so many Lana songs that move me), but I was able to narrow it down to 8 songs...but then it became my list of fave Lana songs and that wasn't the Post topic, so I would have to say the one song that give me the most chills (and I tend to turn up the volume really loud when it comes on) is: 'I Don't Want To Go' - That said though the Black Beauty leak is phenomenally beautiful (and I have added that to my list of top Lana songs, but since there is so much controversy surrounding its leak I don't want to call that song out as 'Most Underrated' esp. since it might be a single one day) - But seriously Black Beauty is right up there with Annie Lennox's 'Love Song For A Vampire' as one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard

@@LDRO, I think they would make a great fit for each other...here's to hopping that a chance visit turns into some awesome music

This is SICK news !!!! I hope that Lana was there for musical reasons and not just a photo op...I mean David Blaine is in the pic also...and he's not musically inclined (that I know of at least; apart from dating Fiona Apple back in the day) - Lenny is an amazing producer (and artist in his own right); some of my faves he's produced is Madonna's 'Justify My Love' (which was already mentioned), but also Neneh Cherry's 'Move w/ Me' and Erykah Badu's 'Back In The Day' (both of which are some of my faves from each artist) - Man I hope they are making MUSIC !!! In the wise words of (musician) John Stewart w/ Stevie Nicks..."cause people out there turn the music into gold" For those of you that don't know the songs I mentioned: http://youtu.be/GJ6N2aixhMA (Neneh Cherry) http://youtu.be/w4bhKB1E6iY (Erykah Badu)

I'm looking forward to listening to it this weekend, but I first have to tear myself away from the new Lana tunes
