Well, as far as her lyrics, what i think y'all tend to forget is how much into poetry Lana is. She's said she thinks of herself foremost as a writer and she loves poetry. Poetry is not a storytelling medium like novels or short stories, it's mostly about the aesthetic value and beauty and meanings of the words juxtaposed

I just really wish David Lynch hears this soon! He would totally love it!! Twin Peaks is filming soon and ever since i read he likes her I've dreamt he would hook up with her for a project. Would be a dream come true for her to do songs for Twin Peaks and also actually perform them on the show ala Julee Cruise!! The instrumental, her voice and delivery are total noir, dark, mysterious, love it so much!

Or u get homemade, self made videos like kinda outta luck, blue jeans, carmen, etc and songs like the lana del ray album and most of the leaked songs. Ya no she isn't really a maimstream artist at heart and doesn't need a big budget to make good music and videos.

I Fucking Loved It. It's exactly what I think film should be now that it's grown up. Not just visual storytelling but an audiovisual experience. And yeah it May seem that it's halfway between a short film and an overlong music video but pay attention and you'll notice, if you've been following Lana's work, that it's just raw art ignoring conventions, pure expression.

Philomene, If your last comment about French nationalist thing was @ me honestly that's not what I meant. Was just commenting on something I find weird and don't understand. Like I find Greeks to be a lot more nationalist than French people here in Quebec but the language thing is only ever an issue among their own. Like I prefer English but some Greeks are like "speak Greek!wtf is wrong with you! Where as some french people here don't care if you just arrived from Space, they still expect you to speak french fluently or they'll just ignore you to hell.

Well I live in Quebec, like French Canada, and I gotta say the French are very sensitive about their language. I mean I lived in Greece for like 10 years and even though I found nationalism to be deeply ingrained in most people there, I not once ever witnessed any language issues.

Love Lana but don't know and can't explain why. Every other artist I've seen mentioned on these forums since I joined a few weeks ago is totally not my cup of warm sake. Except maybe charli xcx, her shit is pretty interesting. Also film is my thing, more than music, and I love her videos and that she used to do them herself. You can tell she's got tons of individuality, vision and that she's for real when you watch them.
