For those who have bought her past albums as a CD but not from Target, does the inside booklet come as a booklet with flippable pages, or is it a big piece of paper folded up? I usually always get the Target CD because Target is convenient for me to go to and cheaper than other stores. However, the problem is that the Target CDs always come with a "free poster" which is really just the booklet as a folded up poster which is the worst of all worlds for me because I love flipping through a booklet (which I can't do if it's a folded poster) and the poster is so folded it could never be hung up anywhere without looking like trash. I'm just wondering if I can order the CD from anywhere else other than Target and get a normal flippable booklet.

I don't know if I should go to the one closest to me or not. It's an hour away and I get off work an hour before. They don't seem to have a ton of parking. My bf can't go with me. Like what if I'm rushing driving an hour, get there, can't find parking, show up late after they've already started, and then there's not enough room for me. Or there's only like 2 other people and it's awkward. I'm too Gen Z for this. 💀 -
Final pre-DYKTTATUOB ranking NFR Ultraviolence Chemtrails AKA Honeymoon Born to Die Paradise Lust for Life Blue Banisters I feel weird ranking Chemtrails so high because I skip LMLYAW, Dance Till We Die, and For Free like 95% of the time and it’s only 11 tracks. I also recognize it’s not her strongest work overall, and I was actually disappointed in the album when it was released. However, I’ve been tracking my streams on last.fm for 5-6 years, and in only 2 years since COTCC’s release, it’s become my 3rd most listened to album, and it’s only like 20 streams behind NFR. And I’m still not really sick of it. It’s kinda of been my default go-to album for Lana over the past couple years. I also feel like Honeymoon should be higher because it’s such a strong, consistent, high quality body of work and the melodies are some of her strongest. But in reality, I just don’t listen to it that often, and usually when I do, it tends to slog for me a bit once we get to Salvatore/The Blackest Day/24/Swan Song/Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, and I don’t usually end up finishing. By the way, AKA is a total unique, innovative gem and it makes me sad how underappreciated it is. To this day, I still haven’t heard anything that sounds even remotely close to it. It’s crazy impressive that she was able to make something so great, creative, and unique for her first official body of work. But then again, it still blows my mind how she progressed from Sirens to AKA in 2-4 years, and then Born to Die another 1-2 years later. The sheer amount of music she made in this period is insane too. I feel like I could have like 3 different rankings of her albums and they’d all feel right for their own reasons. I guess that just goes to show how strong her discography is.

Lana songs you can’t listen to anymore and why?
Venice Jesus Whore replied to Doll Harlow's topic in Lana Thoughts
Young & Beautiful because it’s been overplayed to death and I hate that it’s one of her most well known songs when it’s not even close to one of her best. Beautiful because it’s insufferable. -
these first few months of 2023 have been trash for me, but a lot, if not all, the causes should be wrapped up by the time the album's released. i'm manifesting the album to be a celebration to the end of a few shitty months and a beginning to a happy, carefree, better rest of 2023 ahead, and i can't wait.

The closest one to me is an hour away and I get off work an hour before it starts. Is it worth it? Hmm… -
Ok I didn’t vibe with the new album at all on first listen, but I guess I just wasn’t in the right mood because now, on second listen, every single song is hitting so hard! No misses.

Lana covers Rolling Stone UK - April/May 2023 [Print]
Venice Jesus Whore replied to Elle's topic in New Interviews
This interview is so good. I love hearing her thought process on her albums and just life itself. Hate to say it but it feels good to see her say she didn’t want anyone to listen to BB. I felt like I was going crazy when I just could not get into it while some members were here claiming it was her best songwriting yet when the singles and album were first released. When I always connected to Lana’s music for the past decade, it was unnerving to have her release two albums in a year that didn’t click with me. Luckily, I’ve warmed up to COTCC a lot and a chunk of BB a lot more than I did at first, but mostly only because I’ve created a playlist with my favorite songs from each. I still think BB is her weakest album and is messy on its own. I’m still a little nervous for this next album as a result, but I’m really curious and excited to see what it holds after A&W and this interview have been released.
