  1. Cherry Blossom isn't one of my faves but whatevs.
  2. Same!!!! That damn song is doing cartwheels in my head today. All day.
  3. One of my best friends just told me they don't like White Dress, and while I get it, I'm also lowkey trying not to be annoyed about it.
  4. Yeah, out of the remaining publications I only really see MusicOMH, NOW, maybe No Ripcord or AV Club. Uncut (print only) may show up later. I think it'll stay above 81 but probably not go up to 85 again. Still only 4 points off from NFR!, which is amazing considering the year she's had. It really sucks that a review as targeted, personal, and unprofessional as Sputnik's is eligible to be counted, but it says a lot about Sputnik in general, and the type of guys who write reviews there. Imagine feeling that threatened by Lana. And even with their shitty review, she's still well above 'Universally Acclaimed' , which only points to their transparency and bias. She really won, but either way, it's funny how she doesn't even give a fuck: Looking forward to their '0' when Lana rips their asses a new one with RCS.
  5. The Rolling Stone review is the best one I've read for this album, just FYI.
  6. Metacritic added the 30 from Sputnik. Only lost a point, though, down to 83. So much for 'cRitiCaL iNtEgRIty' lol.
  7. First single 'Question for the Culture, Fuck You to the World' out next Friday.
  8. This is so beautiful - thanks for sharing! You should post this in the Chemtrails post-release thread!
  9. OK, I feel comfortable taking a stab at my track rankings now: 01 - White Dress 02 - Dance Till We Die 03 - Tulsa Jesus Freak 04 - Not All Who Wander Are Lost 05 - Chemtrails 06 - Wild At Heart 07 - Dark But Just a Game 08 - Yosemite 09 - Breaking Up Slowly 10 - Let Me Love You Like a Woman 11 - For Free That was really hard. And it still feels premature since certain songs are still sinking in with repeated listens. I don't feel there are any fillers on the album, or any tracks I'd remove. Lana's covers typically always come last for me, though. It's not even intentional, it's just how it always is for some reason! My top 4 is pretty solidified, 5-9 are subject to change.
  10. Me sinking into the beauty that is NAWWAL whilst thinking about my shambolic love life... The thing about f*gs like you, is you've got a lot to say But will we have a second date?
  11. I'm dead serious when I say I think she could see some success with Wild At Heart or Breaking Up Slowly as singles. But I know she won't since she's moving on to Rock Candy Sweet already (I woke up this morning like "Was that all a dream?")
  12. I don't think the album's really missing anything, but whoever said they could see Yes To Heaven as Track 8 between NAWWAL and Yosemite has me swooning now. That would have been so dreamy, lol.
  13. It just has to be. I love the logo she has for it, too.
  14. Wild At Heart hit me fully today, too. It's such an angelic, sugary sweet song for her, and her vocals are absolutely heavenly on it.
  15. Chemtrails is totally Honeymoon 2.0 with the fans. They'll pay it dust while it's the current album and say it's boring etc, then it'll become a discography highlight in a few years and have a little cult following. Watch and see. This album is a gem.
  16. http://www.rockcandysweet.com/ It's bullshit, sadly
  17. I'm hoping the energy of this album is a mix of Catch & Release, Venice Bitch, Flipside, and Pretty When You Cry. Darker, longer, guitar-heavy, catchy, colorful psychedelic-infused rock jams.
  18. Two thoughts: Dying for an album heavy w/ Blake & The breakdowns in the Instagram Updates thread are a lot this morning, lol.
  19. Do you know who you stan? Seriously asking
  20. I agree - I don't find any of it on this album, save for maybe the second verse of NAWWAL. I think it'll all be addressed (or, should I say, directly confronted) on Rock Candy Sweet.
  21. Can we get someone @ Spotify or on Lana's team to fix the Spotify files? The Yosemite situation is so annoying.
  22. I don't buy the quick turnaround means she doesn't like Chemtrails. She could have simply shelved the album if Rock Candy Sweet was already in the works and she didn't want to release it. I think she was just very inspired/fueled by her controversies last year (and even at the start of this year). By the time all of that happened, Chemtrails was already pretty much complete, and Jack was too busy with Taylor and other projects to return and expand on it anymore, so she had two separate projects in the end. Lana's always had a complicated relationship with her own work, and Jack said Chemtrails is his favorite album they've done together. So two albums for us this year - despite all the delays and bullshit, we're very lucky!
  23. Well, we know: - COCC was finished last summer. Around that time she already had Dealer and wasn't sure whether she'd put it on COCC or not. - In November, she tweeted she was currently working on two albums. - In January, she gave the Music Weekly interview that was published this month, where she already had an album title in mind that summed up "the last 18 months" (Rock Candy Sweet). Her managers confirmed she was working on two albums then, too, but we all found this out just a few days ago. - In January, after the Annie Mac interview, she said a few days after giving the Music Weekly interview that she already knew what she was doing next. - Last month, she and her brother both posted 'rock' emojis before deleting. - She announced the new album today. So as far as we know, it could have been in the works as early as Summer 2020, and will be released around a year later, but now only a few months after COCC. I'm not going to read into deleting the (messy) IG stories as long as the announcement post itself is still up. Tap Music liked the IG post, too, so they know about the album.
  24. I definitely don't think June 1 is the date. I wonder if she thinks albums are still released on Tuesdays? Maybe June 4th, as that's the closest Friday. But honestly, I'd be perfectly fine with a late summer release, too. Getting two albums from Lana in one year, we'd be completely spoiled. We just got a brand new album, so I'll stay fed until it comes. Just thankful we have such a prolific, passionate fave. To think that last week we were all slightly worried she was going on hiatus for a few years!
