  1. this is gonna sound ignorant but i honestly don't believe she's glamorizing death. she portrays a dark image which is just how she is as an artist, but she's also been through alot and chooses to talk about that in her music as well.

i remember reading an interview saying that when she used to sing in a higher pitch(aka, sirens) and she said nobody took her seriously, so she started singing lower. maybe she came out with a darker image for ldr to compliment her voice. remember aka was "hawaii glam" and considerably more cheerful in image than btd as well

imo she's just expressing herself and what shes gone through (obviously) and its an unfortunate coincidence that her image coincides with that to make it look like shes glamorizing death. so many other artists sing about death and depression but because they don't convey the same image lana does, they wouldn't be glamorizing or romanticizing it.

marina and the diamonds is a good example, her image is the complete opposite of lana's but she's had multiple songs about death

  2. Getting hate for spitting in his neighbours face and threatening to kill him, spitting on fans, skipping many concerts/cutting them short for no valid reason, assaulting DJ Woods, vandalising in Rio, egging a neighbour, arrested for a DUI & driving with a suspended license, verbally abusing a flight attendant, making extremely racist remarks amongst a whole other slew of things including just being an annoying and self-entitled brat

    vs

Being hated for having a fake stage name and being a ~manufactured~ popstar who's daddy payed fucked her way to the top

yes, Justin is most definitely hated on for no reason  :sideeye:

anyway, in that guardian interview lana said that she wasn't even in contact with her parents at the time of aka, she was surprised when people thought her dad paid for her record deal because she hadnt even seen him for 6 years or so

  4. you mean the venues that she chooses to play in and the amount of shows? idk i think lana really likes the intimacy of smaller crowds but hopefully with her confidence growing doing bigger shoes like glastonbury, coachella etc she may consider more in the future

idk if lana wants to play bigger shoes though..  :creepna:

but no i mean that the number is so small, she is pretty popular and i understand she wants a more intimate set but why the lack of shows??

(On a side note, does anyone else think that there is a "conspiracy" going on with Lana in general, all her leaks, the mismanagement of everything she does, the way the tour was handled with scalped tickets... it just seems so weird. But I've never stanned for anyone else like I do for Lana, so maybe this is the norm in the industry and I'm just seeing it now?)

in regards to her leaks, no, because near a hundred (if not more) of her songs were leaked, and this was after she became popular. if her record wanted to cause some sort of attention they wouldn't have done so many.

tickets is different, because when my friend went to go to buy tickets for the nashville show they literally were gone within two hours, so i wouldn't be surprised if her label had anything to do with it. its either them or some company who bought them all and is mass selling them everywhere for high prices

sounds legit. ive also read her management has faked a lot  of her twitter followers also and that she 'bought' her star on the walk of fame. her 'career' is a joke tbh

seriously? would this have anything to do with her dad considering he bought her off her first record deal

im guessing 'secondary market' means those who buy tickets first hand and sell them at another price 'secondhand' so naughty really

I believe the articles talking about secondary sellers like StubHub, not the original tickets. They're saying there is a demand for tickets and people are basically paying the overinflated price (marked up by scalpers) to see her.

oh yeah, but like evilentity said, the tour is surprisingly small.  she's become very popularized and the demand to see her is undoubtedly large, why is it so small???

  6. i always connect this song to ride, because when she says

"i knew that it takes getting everything you ever wanted, and then loosing it to know what true freedom is"

its almost a reference to loosing things like this that meant alot to her
