Lust For Life - Pre-Release Thread
Thunder Revenant replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
Nothing about the LFL tracks so far has anything ot do with the BtD Lana. During BtD, Lana delivered INTERESTING,well-produced music that sticked out as something unique. The LFL stuff is just putting Lana's voice on some generic, mainstrem-y tracks. -

Funny how y'all stanned for Lust For Life but bash Coachella. Both tracks aren't good but LFL is definitly the worst offender. -

All three of them are underwhelming though. -

As much as I think that the track is a tragic mess, it's the most intriguing one from LFL so far (which does not mean much anyway). When Love came out I thought it was meh, solid yet not really interesting. But I thought that it would just be that way because it was the lead single. Lust For Life is a piece of sh*t, but I guess that's Abel's bad, generic influence. Coachella just proves that she completely lost her "touch". The vocals are nice, but the production is messy and muddy as f*ck and the lyrics are cringy. It's generally just a basic track but ... the vocal delivery is nice at least. -

Like it or not, you have to admit that she is obviously losing all the glamour and greatness she displayed on Born To Die, Paradise, Ultraviolence and even Honeymoon. The music is the usual-pop-stuff and it isn't really close to her usual "Hollywood-glamour"-aura. She started to decay with the Weeknd collabs, now she's just one of many artists doing alt-pop. -

Best vocal delivery for this era and I like those synths/fake strings during the pre-chorus. But the lyrics are pretty cringy, the beat is generic af, the production is messy and the "starway to heaven" backing vox are unnecessary and sound off. I guess I need to accept the fact "Lust For Life" will be the weakeat album in her discography and hope that the next album will be better. -

The production ... the beat ... the lyrics ... the backing vox. EW! Not as bad as L4L but still pretty ugly. The quality of her lead vocals is nice but that's it. -

Lust For Life proves you wrong -
They uploaded a full professionally filmed concert of her. https://www.facebook.com/ntsradiolive/videos/10158716079895444/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE Can someone rip it in the best quality? I tried some online-FB video downloaders, but I feel like they all decreased the quality. Setlist: INTRO: Do You Feel Real Time Haunted The Inside Scarlette Human That Other Girl Loves Way Amandine Insensible Bebin Hubris Marilyn Monroe Bluecid Hero The Language Of Limbo ENCORE: Sirens Of The Caspian

Hahahahaha What is this sh*t?

True dat! The only songs I'm not really that into are Angel, Love's Way and When I Reside. The rest is flawless. I'm not sure wether we'll have a "Deluxe" edit. A 17th track will most certainly come at some point, but you never know with her. She might drop another 12 track album next week if she feels like doing it. But for now, I'm happy with all the great stuff we got on ISON. Probably the best record of the year.

If only this would be noticable in her music ... Lust For Life and Love are such faux-teenybopper tracks, especially compared to Honeymoon.

The beginning of the UV era was actually pretty exciting. We got a lot of nice promo and magazine shoots, West Coast, the german West Coast Radio Mix and Shades Of Cool were excellent singles and we also got to hear Ultraviolence and Brooklyn Baby. Lana was currently touring, so we had a few nice videos of her performing West Coast and Ultraviolence. Even HM was more exciting before it's release. -
OMG I did not know there is a thread for her on here! I really love her stuff, especially her lyrics. My favourite albums are Extraordinary Machine and When The Pawn, both of them are almost flawless. I also really loved the fact she collabed with Andrew Bird, he's incredibly talented and their duet was so on point!

as if she'd care about releases. I guess she learns about the fact her music is released by reading a post-it Ben pins to her broken laptop-screen. -
Of course it is. She's not doing anything to keep up the excitement since Coachella.
-
Just release Sober as a single and I'm satisfied until the album comes out ...
-
Ugh another hypergeneric track. I guess she really decided to go that path. It's not even bad music but I had higher hopes for this album.
-
had to look her up and omg yes, everyone should stay away from her ...
-
Why the hell did she took most of the UNSOLVED tracks off Itunes ... like, if you don't put them on the album, why not let people buy/stream them as standalone tracks?
