so when i heard the male vocals i thought of elvis... like she dubbed in his voice? that or johnny cash? which is it? lol i know its probably barrie ... its better then any of the singles released yet.... west coast being second. shades of cool are ok, ultravioence is decent.... the only two songs i kinda dont care so much for are "The lucky ones" and "ultraviolence" but thats out of what? all 3 albums, unreleased material ... b-SIDES, REMIXES... so i am pretty sold in my interests for her..
i have been waiting for a week and half for this song.. spending hours upon hours searching online for it.. lol i even made the snippet my text ringtone! lol now i am in heaven.. her music is hypnotic ...like your on drugs. am i the only one that feels like this?
I also made it my text ringtone!! "he plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed"

I feel like the line "They judge me like a picture book" is very personal & honest and I've been waiting for that kind of stuff from Lana!! <3

spotify =/= itunes radio.
My question was poorly worded haha. I understand that it's not on Spotify, but is it certain that iTunes Radio will have it available on Monday?!

thats fake, but monday is the day of itunes stream.

I prefer the live version, but it's still nice! Her voice is much stronger live. & the spoken part is beautiful both ways! But I love it when she says "I REALLY love you forever" in the live version; it's too cute!

They say the vinyl includes the bonus tracks because of the download code.
Ohh...! I bought the box set from the French amazon (only like $63.44 after shipping). So, the vinyl will have the 11 tracks, and then there will be separate codes for digital downloads? God that's kinda lame lol I really want them all on vinyl!!
I know that the BTD:PE vinyl boxset apparently included the three bonus tracks (Without You/Lolita/Lucky Ones), but when I bought it, I didn't receive the record with these songs on it. Which was laaaayme.

I seriously don't understand what she's saying when she sings "Guess it is ______ ___ __" ... It definitely doesn't sound like "meant to be"!
It sounds like "Ms. Union" or something lol.

Is it just me, or is this song about Barrie?!
"Are you gonna hurt me now?
Or are you gonna hurt me later?
Are you gonna go to town?
Maybe you should play it safer"
Maybe this is Barrie's point of view as he has thought this or "said" it to Lana, saying that he knows what she's up to. He knows that she wants to leave and he's questioning when she will have the courage to face the inevitable. Also, it goes along with the idea that she is "being a mistress on the side" (Are you gonna go to town)
You've got me all dressed up tonight
Springsteen on the radio
You've got me all freaked out tonight
Somethin' you're tellin' me- what? I don't know
Basically, she's dressing up for him because she doesn't want to face the truth. They both know that the breakup is going to happen, yet it's unspoken and taboo.
You don't wanna break me down
You don't wanna say goodbye and
You don't wanna turn around
You don't wanna make me cry but
You caught me once
Maybe on the flipside I could catch you again
You caught me once
Maybe on the flipside you could catch me again
But she knows he's a good guy, in contrast to Jimmy or whoever she wrote BTD about. He DOESN'T want to make her cry. He DOESN'T want to to turn around, break her down, or say goodbye. Lana knows he's a good guy; he treats her right, he just doesn't treat himself with the same respect (drugs, etc.) So, she will wait for him to get his shit together and then they can "catch" each other again, on the "flipside," when he's sober, etc.
basically, if you analyze the rest of the lyrics the same way/in the same POVs, you get what I'm going for... does this make sense to anyone else!?
