    Saying “none of these songs could be on the radio” is a huge f*cking compliment lol. And I basically agree, I personally feel like the stuff on here really isn’t her most generic and hit-chasing music!! Which again is a good thing

Everything is referencing "It's Okay To Cry", which to say it bluntly is kind of the obvious choice and not very representative of SOPHIE's work, it's a pop song with an outro that screams SOPHIE, not a quintessential SOPHIE song. Not to say she shouldn't have used it but what about making a reference to "JUST LIKE WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE", "Paradise", "Immaterial" or even the bridge in "Faceshopping"? Those would all work and show a deeper connection, similarly sampling the production of a different song could have added another layer.

    I'm not calling the song bad or cheap, I just feel like it could have been a better tribute, still I'm glad we're getting it.

    I’ve actually just listened to WYTAM for the first time since it came out and it’s honestly much better than I remembered lol? 
     

    The only thing that really irks me about it is her delivery on the “so yeah fvck you”, it sounds kinda awkward

    Back to January she said on Discord that on a scale of 1 (not released soon) to 10 (released soon), the lead single on the album is a 6-7

     

    and these last few days she has been having a lot of attention cause of the Vogue Cover/Interview, the trailer for The Crow and the confirmation of her being part of the cast for David Lowery's Mother Mary alongside with Anne Hathaway and Hunter Schafer

     

    I feel like it's the ideal timing for her to announce the single and the album

    Honestly, I’m starting to think that twigs was being extra cheeky that day and was actually hinting at a June/July release:toofunny:
