  1. "Lana is creating symphonic horror with lovely undertones, an intentional decision. She tells a modern tale through veteran eyes. Just don't expect to understand the tale cause the words are indecipherable, more infliction to the modern era. You're floating through a haunted house with Lana Del Rey, one in which she knows every nook and cranny and is mischievous in revealing them to you. You pit-pat your way through track splicings like slipping through holes slimmer than the fabric you're ravishingly cloaked in, and the event happens with harmonious fashion. One can't skillfully pinpoint if the songs convey emotion of sadness or happiness, they're simply ambiguous - more distance. Still one can be solely sure the resultant here is an immaculate one. All creations are unique no matter what some are attributing it to. Lana presents dynamics that shifts ear weight like forces of propulsion. And while she tries her best to be awful in every sense of the word it couldn't have had a more direct opposite effect."

    omg what a sound-off

  2. So ladies what did we learn with NFR? DON’T GIVE UP ITLL BR WORTH IT IN THE END

Same with this one. Let’s hope she doesn’t tease the fuck out of it every 2-4 weeks until then.... I’m happy with the record we just got holding me over until the next one in a year from now.

Remember when she said she was wanting a 15-16 month schedule bc she loved just putting stuff out once she’d finished it? Maybe she’s already closer to finishing a few tracks already and she’s starting to plan the rest of the album. Maybe LFA will be one the next one with Stupid For Being So Happy & Hey Blue Baby? The again maybe not considering Yosemite or RBFY didn’t see the light of day on an album

Ugh my brain is melting rn and so are my eyes

    unless...

  3. after being teased for over a year, it's finally fucking here. the highs are high, and the lows are still enjoyable. pretty solid lyrics for the most part and some of her best melodies to date. this feels like the album she's always wanted to make.

highlights: norman fucking rockwell, venice bitch, fuck it i love you, california, and the last 4 songs

not so much: how to disappear, doin' time, the next best american record

i really don’t hate any song on here, i’ve listened to it over 10 times since it leaked a few days ago lol. the songs have been teased for so long that they don’t really feel new, but that hasn’t really been a bad thing for me. i liked seeing how it all came together this past year and i’m really glad it lived up to the hype we all created. it really felt like we got to watch her create this album in real time as she shared her favorite snippets with us. this and julia jacklin’s are tied for aoty for me. (check jj out if u like fun and moody indie music)

also i totally only joined this forum for this thread lol, it’s been fun gays and gals. can’t wait for the next one.

  4. i know it doesn’t really make sense, but the last line of the greatest, i hear her sing “oh, the life’s dream’s almost on” instead of “livestream.” and she also uses the “life’s dream” line in venice bitch. idk if i’m just tired and dumb but it feels more poetic with those lyrics lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (ik that in the pitchfork interview they quoted it as livestream tho)
